No backer
One cat will use, the tallest one will not (and I bought it for that one). Iâm not sure if it was the sisal or the insecurity on stability. It works well for lightweights but there is no backer and the heavy one doesnât seem into it

Cats repurposed this into a lounge chaise ð
Pros:â Comes in a giftable boxâ Easy assemblyâ Both of my cats use the product to scratch/pull (successful acknowledgment of product ð) but not in the way I hopedâ Good sturdy construction, did not knock over when left against a wallâ Makes for a great sturdy hammock and lazy scratching (if your cats don’t prefer vertical use)â Reasonable price for material quality/constructionCons:â I intended to get this to replace their previous cardboard upright scratcher. They loved that thing because they’d spend so much time decompressing their spines… The scratcher portion is not sturdy enough for them to get a good grip and get that “ahhhhh….” Looking for ways to anchor it!

Easy to assemble
This is easy to assemble, it is study and perfect for the cats that like to scratch. The adhesion works great and it goes from a ramp to a stand, however you prefer for your cat.

Sturdy, comes with everything you need to assemble
The wood frame and dowels make this scratcher sturdy. The assembly was fast and easy, everything needed was in the box including a screwdriver. The scratcher comes with anti-slip pads if youâre using this on hard floors (I didnât) and Velcro strips to help it stay in place and not knock against whatever you have it leaning against. The sisal portion is tightly woven and has stood up nicely so far. It was quite a snug fit on the dowels but it does fit and it is kept taut so it isnât flopping around while being used. I have the large scratcher placed vertically and it is a great height for my tall/long cat to stretch and scratch on with a couple inches to spare at the top.

Good idea, doesn’t quite work
I got this because my cat likes different types of scratchers. He has one pad that lays on the floor and is of a similar material to the one of this scratcher so I figured he would like it. What I didn’t realize about this one though was that there isn’t a backing to the scratch portion so it’s difficult for my cat to understand it as a scratcher. He mostly uses it as something to sit on now. Since the pad is just held on by some poles but otherwise free-hanging, it falls down in parts so there isn’t much of a way for my cat to get leverage to scratch on it. It either needs to be pulled tighter or it needs to have a backing. Overall I think the design is ok and the scratch pad is nicely made but it just doesn’t work as intended.

Easy to assemble
It took less than 15 min to assemble this cat scratcher. The instructions were pretty clear and the pre-drilled holes were adequate. It came with a nice, solid screwdriver.My cats prefer ramp-style scratchers, so once this was assembled I set it up and sprinkled some catnip on it to attract them. They’ve checked it out but don’t seem drawn to it. I think the issue is that the sisal mat is too loose and does not have a solid support under it.

Great for cats
Very nice cat scratcher! Great value for money and was very easy to assemble. They provided everything you need for assembly. It is very sturdy and our cats love it so far.
