Great bday present Arrived fast and easy to set up and use many neat features my favorite bday present this round. And 4 days later it is still on factory charge and over half battery.
Just what I needed. After purchasing three previous smart watches, this is by far the best one. As a 60 year old nurse, I’m intrigued by the functionality of this watch. Vitals, messaging alerts, phone connections…et al.I’ve purchased three thus far. A friend in Texas, retired EMT is loving his. My nephew is getting one for his birthday.
Bad Steps. I really wanted to like this smartwatch—it has a nice looking screen and some decent features. However, there are issues that prevent me from recommending it. A big problem is the step counter, which is incredibly inaccurate. It often registers over 220 steps for a simple 18-step walk to the bathroom. Despite adjusting my stride in the app, the accuracy did not improve. The weather updates infrequently, or not at all. The blood pressure monitor, while included, is impractical without a cuff and will never provide accurate readings only a guess based on your heart rate and a math formula. The accompanying “da fit” app, required to run the watch, presents its own problems. It demands extensive permissions and collects a significant amount of personal data. According to their terms of service, this data, along with information from Google Firebase, is used to create a user profile. The purpose and necessity of this data collection, especially for a Chinese company, remain unclear. The app also lacks the option to manually import contacts, instead offering a limited selection of random contacts for use.Lastly, the app cannot be force-stopped even with additional software (instantly reloads), requiring uninstallation for certain activities such as banking, where privacy and security are a concern.
Perfect The first watch didn’t work very well but the second watch does and the seller was quick to send a new one out in replacement a most excellent seller i highly recommend…
Value for price Liked the watch but the BP, I just couldn’t get it to the work. Otherwise, it’s a good product. I purchased it specifically for the BP function. Otherwise nice watch
Health tracker smart watch I’ve been in the process of recovering from som major medical issues.and one of the things that was a concern of mine was keeping track of the time and my O2 levels, heart rate ,pulse ,ECT but wasn’t into the astronomical cost of big name brands when I found this one it’s definitely a quality watch it’s got a comfortable silicon band and the watch face is changeable by programming it’s water proof and very well made and durable the appearance is that of a military watch which is just fine by me once I got accustom with the settings it’s was so easy to go to any of the functions quickly it also sends receive calls gets weather alerts and updates works with an app on your phone .what a great value for your money it’s amazing and the time is very accurate too I’ve banged around the house and garden and it’s very durable and quite rugged but also stylish it’s actually a red the high performance time peace and a very low price it has made keeping track of my health so much easier there’s so much more it does im still learning about so its only getting better.i would definitely recommend this product to everyone who is interested in it
Decent Economical Smartwatch This watch has excellent value and offers many features and a long battery life. And I’m talking about long. It took about a week before I had to charge it. Which is great, but that’s one of its downsides. The charger it comes with is dinky and cheap, and it needs help staying connected to it without falling off as it’s magnetic. The last downside I had was its button. It looks like a dial, so you think it would do something if you spin it, but it doesn’t do anything. It is just there to spin freely and act as a button. The settings were nothing to be amazed about, but you get what you expect from customization. You can change how the app page looks. Change the lock screen to what they have, or use a 1:1 picture you have on your devices. It has a low-power mode. Change the screen brightness. Change how long the screen is up and if you turn your wrist over if it will turn on.Now, the monitoring software. You have steps, sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, and stress; you can even track menstrual cycle. Now, for the sleep monitor, as long as you’re not moving, you will start a timer for sleep monitoring. I am still determining how credible these are regarding blood pressure, blood oxygen, stress, and menstrual cycle. For both blood and stress monitors I don’t know how it tracks it. The blood pressure monitor seems accurate enough as it is close to the readings I got when I visited the doctor. I was getting high readings for the stress monitor even though I was relaxing and watching YouTube.Lastly, I’m male and curious if the menstrual track works. It’s supposed to help predict it. It also has other essential software like calculators, timers, alarms, and world clocks. Suppose you download and connect it to your phone. In that case, you can check the weather, track your activities and messages, talk to your AI assistant, make calls, take a picture from your phone, find your phone, and skip songs. Overall, you will get your money’s worth for its features.
This is a reasonably decent (albeit basic in comparison to most others) fitness tracker/smart watch (KT71) that appears well-built and for the most part works as expected. It has all of the most common monitors (HR, BP, and SpO2) although they’re quite typical for these fitness trackers nowadays and it does have a metal buckle that I prefer along with a metal alloy case that mot others with similar style and design don’t have, so that’s certainly a point in its favor. Of course, one of the best features of this watch is that it has an IPS screen that’s noticeably better than many others. It has many of the standard features as most other budget or off-brand smart watches have and it has the typical silicone/rubber straps, which is a bit of a bummer (stainless straps would’ve been preferred). In addition, it has 1x crowns/pushers which is (again) rather typical and common (I prefer 2 or more to able to set shortcuts with them).≡ NoteThese so-called SMART WATCHES are really just FITNESS TRACKERS with added features (i.e. flashlight, calculator; mostly useless ones too) and it’s NOT a true smart watch/device. A true smart device operates by itself on its own without the NEED to install an App for it to run and without depending on another device (i.e. your phone) to run.For instance, if your PHONE requires an App to be installed on a LAPTOP in order for various functions on your phone to work, or if your phone would lose certain features WHEN your laptop goes offline, would you consider your phone to be a SMART phone? Well, I wouldn’t and I’ll be extremely upset if that’s the case, and that’s exactly what happens here most of these so-called smart watches.###≡ FeaturesBy standard I don’t mean one or two, in fact, the standard nowadays is about a dozen or so including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen monitor just to name a few. Although it does have all 3 monitors, BP and HR don’t seem to be accurate at all (SpO2 appears to be reasonably accurate for the most part although we know the figures for the vast majority of healthy people is usually either 98% or 99%) which is quite upsetting to have found out after numerous tests. In addition, the steps counter seems to be off by about 3500+ so that’s not exactly accurate either but it’s certainly not the worst.I should also mention that an increasing large number of these devices that I’ve come across lately have all suffered from the same (or at least quite similar) issues which implies to me that perhaps hardware (sensors and/or other related components) under the hood is identical across ALL of these watches. It also has the typical sports and/or exercise related features that many others have. It has a reasonably large screen of 1.96″ (for square case) in comparison to many others with 1.32/1.38″ screen. With that being said, 1.43″ is somewhat of a norm at this point in time for these watches with a round case so that’s that. I should also note that the advertised 100+ sports requires the app; otherwise, only a handful or so are available (which is more than most people would need under normal circumstance). The same can be said for watch faces/styles too and that’s a common practice for these nowadays.≡ BatteryIt claims to have a battery capacity of 430 mAh which is huge in comparison to most others since the average is around 300-350 mAh or thereabout. In either case, whatever the capacity might be, the only thing I really care is that it can last me an entire day (charge once a day is fine with me). With that being said, I also don’t have a clue about the longevity of the battery but that’s a common concern for all rechargeable smart watches out there (i.e. battery dies unexpected fast). Note that the default screen timeout is 5sec which is unusably short for me but it can be increased up to 30 seconds (whereas some other can’t t at all while a few can do 60 sec) so that’s great. I don’t necessarily want 30 sec but it’s nice to have the options (I set mine to 15sec).≡ Water resistanceBtw, these fitness trackers/smart watches are NOT meant to be submerged in water (salty or otherwise) longer than a few minute even though they often advertise as being IP67 or even 3 ATM (this one claims to be 3at which is around 30 meters) which is completely nonsensical if you know what that really means (around 30m under water but it’s really meant for accidental submersion); otherwise, there is an extremely high probability that it will die prematurely, as I’ve found out the hard way.≡ AppFor those who are curious about what the ‘Da Fit’ app (3.2 rating) requires;✘ Any data may be shared with other companies or organizations, including but not limited to;* Email address and Phone number, Fitness info, Precise location, Photos and videos, Contacts* SMS or MMS, Files and docs, Installed apps, Device or other IDs✘ Data isn’t encrypted (typical practice in China)* Data is encrypted during transit✘ Device & app history* read sensitive log data✘ Contacts* read your contacts✘ Location* approximate location (network-based), precise location (GPS and network-based)✘ Phone* directly call phone numbers, read call log, read phone status and identity, Photos/Media/Files* read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storage✘ Storage* read the contents of your USB storage, modify or delete the contents of your USB storage✘ Camera & Microphone* take pictures and videos, record audio✘ Wi-Fi connection information* view Wi-Fi connections✘ Device ID & call information* read phone status and identity✘ Other* receive data from Internet, view network connections, pair with Bluetooth devices, control vibration* access Bluetooth settings, control flashlight, full network access, run at startup, prevent device from sleeping✘ NoteLike nearly all other budget smart watches (or any other ‘smart’ devices really) out there, an App is REQUIRED for this to function at its fullest which means you are giving the manufacturer (and whoever they decide to share it with or without your permission) AND the app OWNER (i.e. some company in China and that equates to the gov in this case) your COMPLETE and entire historical data. Some people consider some of these (i.e. precise GPS location, health info, heart rate, blood pressure, or the alike) to be ‘extremely’ personal information and therefore are private. Data mining, analysis, prediction, and eventually profit making and/or a form of control will be vital in many aspects of our lives in the foreseeable future. If this concerns you at all, look elsewhere.###≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a fairly decent FITNESS TRACKER (with some smart watch functions) that works just fine if you don’t care about any of the issues mentioned above , in particular the issues with the HR and BP monitors and to a certain degree the step counter. It’s somewhat reasonably priced at $40 for what it provides (a generic fitness tracker, KT71) and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. Your mileage might vary.
