Works very well I installed these on my battery operated ring cam plus Cameras and it works extremely well. Thereâs a lot of activity on my street so normally the batteries need recharging often. I checked the device health on my cameras and theyâre up to 100% in just a half a day. Definitely worth the purchase. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to install 3 of them.
Works great I was alittle skeptical about these at first being though they are an off brand. They keep my cameras charged 100% of the time and work so good that I bought another 3 pack for my other cameras. Very easy to install as well
Great kit for Meshastic nodes and other small electronic projects I was delighted to find these, and immediately put one to work keeping the battery in a little Meshtastic node charged so I don’t have to keep bringing it inside. The photo shows testing in progress with a USB voltage/current meter, and even on a hazy day with light cloud cover and a mostly full battery, I was seeing about 2 watts… which was a pleasant surprise. My application involves mounting these to weatherproof boxes with data radios inside, and that is easy to do with the included hardware. Seasonal elevation adjustment does not require tools – just loosen that knurled nut and aim.It is too soon to comment on long-term weather resistance… I’ve only been using one for a few days (2 of which were rainy). If I remove the four corner screws, the back can be eased away from the frame to show the power wires soldered to the pins of the panel… no sealing around the edge and it might wick a bit, but would also immediately drain. I would of course not use it in a saltwater nautical environment, but otherwise I would not expect any issues from moisture. (Being a packaging purist, I ran a little smear of silicone sealant around the frame, as well as a dab around the cable entry… just in case.)They come with a very long cable, along with USB-C and barrel connectors, cable mounting hardware, and AZ-EL mounts… a nice package that will play well with wireless security cameras as well as devices like mine. One of these is now living outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, running a little Meshtastic communication node, and according to battery level display it is keeping up without difficulty.
Nice Panels But Didn’t Work For Me These are nice little panels and I was excited to hook one of them up to my Ring Stick Up battery/solar cam.The connectors are nicely made with a rubber seal.Once I hooked it up, it seemed to be fine and the cam worked for a few days while I was testing it and the Ring battery icon showed that it was charging and had the green battery with the sun icon meaning it was hooked up to a ‘Ring’ solar panel. Then out of the blue, my camera kept telling me there was no internet connection. I unplugged the solar panel and the cam’s connection to the internet worked again… I changed out the panel and the connection cord and it showed it was connected to the Ring cam – but would not allow the internet connection to connect. After about an hour of troubleshooting with the camera and the solar panels I just removed the panels from the configuration. The camera works great just with the battery, but now I have to keep swapping out the battery when it loses its charge… the whole reason for hooking up a solar panel, right? So you don’t have to worry about the power to the cam.So, all in all, these panels are nice, and maybe it’s my cam that is causing the problems? But maybe not. The cam works fine with the just the battery. They are worth a try, I see they work for other people. You could try them and if they don’t work for you – return them?
Nice-looking, Well-built, Easy-to-setup USB-based Solar Panels These little 6V, 4W, Nicely-sized Solar Panels are not only great-looking but due to the fact that they have a USB C-type adapter (with the DC adapter, which I did not use), it makes it to where I can use them universally, tying them into a much larger, li-ion battery bank that I built to supply a larger amount of stored energy for some low-voltage landscape lights, as well as my security cameras and other peripherals. I like being able to place these smaller units in strategic locations to maximize light gathering angles around our home on our homestead, for this aforementioned purposes. We are 90% off of the power grid and our home runs on a much larger solar array that exists out along the mountain-side, in a distant pasture. That system too, feeds into a massive li-ion storage system in an out-building, which in turn, supplies the majority of our homes electrical needs. However, as I prefer to keep that energy reserve (about 300,000 Kwh of stored energy, beyond the daily consumption of our home, which is around 120,000 Kwh), to a maximum, I setup smaller solar grids like this one, that are dedicated to specific functions, independent of the main system, helping to alleviate unnecessary daily strain on it. Long story short, these little solar panels make doing so, easy, as they have that USB-C connector, making tying them all together as simple as plugging in your mouse to your computer, if you know what I mean. These panels appear to be functioning quite nicely so far and look nice, to boot. I’m able to hide them almost anywhere and so far, I’ve only installed two of them in the crotch of two larger trees very near to our main home, back to that small li-ion battery bank that I mentioned earlier. Since I cannot speak to the longevity of these solar panels, as I have just installed the two of them, and only just did so, I will make sure to update this review accordingly, if they become problematic or fail for some reason, prematurely. Until then, I gladly recommend them to others.
Solar!!! I love everything solar. This works wellWith my current ring cameras. I love I donât have to charge the batteries anymore because of the these panels. They have to be in direct sunlight for most of the day. Itâs easy to install and hook up to the camera. It does extend battery life obviously you donât have to charge as often. Greta value for these energy saving solar panels

The solar panels worked great ð
I’m going to let you know they don’t work with front door ring. But they work well with the other camera’s ðð
