Love this tent Havenât been camping in years but recently went and needed a tent. Iâm 68 yr old female and was able to put it up myself in less than 15 mins. It got my full size air mattress in while leaving lots of extra floor space. Loved all the windows and large doorway. Only negative would be trying to get it back into the bag so I just folded it up and tied it closed.
Quick I hate hate hate setting up tents. This pole here, that one there. Blah blah. This does what it says. Pull, pops up! Push; back down. Yes, like all tents; wish the holding bag was bigger. Lol
Looking forward to years of camping OK, don’t let the 4 star rating scare you. I just set this tent up this morning; a “shakedown cruise” as it were. I have yet to take it camping, so I will not give a higher rating until I’ve tested it. Having said that, the setup was very easy, just like you see on the You Tube videos. My neighbors were impressed with the ease that it set up. I’m 74 y/o and no Lewis and Clark so my first setup time was maybe 2 1/2 minutes but I know with a few practice drills I can get it down to 60-90 seconds. My first impression was the roominess; I camp alone and I like my space but in my opinion 2-3 people in this tent will not be tight,. I’m 5’9″ and the height here is 5’7″…I’m fine with that. I know you can purchase tents that are much less, but then, I don’t like tents you have to scrunch yourself in…42″-48″ in height. No thanks; when the weather turns bad and you’re in a tent that small, tempers get short. There is lots of ventilation, the windows are big , there is a hook on the top for a small light, pockets for small things that tend to get lost and a pocket to extend a cord out for charging those 21st century gadgets we love. The tent looks very durable and sturdy and that will be tested out in two weeks as I will be using it on my Michigan trip. I’m certain the ratings will go up, so don’t be afraid to check this number out. I purchased a canopy to go with my tent. This allows for extra stretching room and it looks like I did the right thing. Of course, you will be the final judge but I would recommend this tent for your family or couples weekend excursions. Best of Luck!
Wow! Really nice, comfortable and convenient large(ish) tent! Wow! Really nice, comfortable and convenient tent! This tent comes packed in a rather large and heavy box. At least I thought that it was pretty large and heavy, until I saw how much room you get with this thing. However, this is definitely not a backpacker tent to carry 30 miles into the wilderness with you. It is a camping tent.It came in a rather nice and sturdy case and the whole thing has a good quality feel to it. The tent definitely took me longer than a minute to fully set up, but I was working alone, while my buddy was taking care of other stuff. It is much faster to fully assemble any other large(ish) tent Iâve ever dealt with, thatâs for sure, which is very convenient, especially when youâre tired and itâs dark out. This tent is roomy, comfy and well-designed. The quality seems to par with any of the big brand name tents that Iâve dealt with. I didnât find any defects or signs of shoddy craftsmanship. My camping buddy and I are both large and tall men but had no problems fitting into and using this thing. It also did a great job keeping some drizzle and a cold wind out at night. Packing it up was pretty easy too.Anyway, Iâm really happy that I got this tent and definitely recommend it!
It actually sets up in less than a minute!! I finally got to try this tent out and I am very happy with it. I was skeptical of the 60 second set up time but my son and I set this up in less than 60 seconds. It was so simple to set up. This does not include staking it down or attachting the rainfly. I can’t comment on the rainfly as we did not use it.The material seems to be comperable to other tents I have owned in the past.I like the venting and extra little ground vent. The door mat is also a nice feature. The zippers worked fine. The storage pouches worked fine. The carry/storage bag it came in was larger than it needed to be but after I took the tent down I just barely got it back into that bag. I am glad it came with a larger bag.It comes down just as fast as it goes up. One issue we had was that the poles were very tight against the tent material when we took the tent down. I felt like it was going to tear the material. We may have done something wrong and I still am not sure if we did. Once we got it home I partially opened the tent and found I could unattach the poles from the bottom of the tent and it released the pressure on the material and all is good now. I am not sure if this is necessary but only takes a minute to do and am confident it won’t tear the tent.Oveall I really like this tent.
