Harriet, accidental model and all in geek, is at her most hilariously lovable in this book – highly recommended Harriet Manners, accidental model and geek of the title, has finally got a band of friends. She belongs. She feels happy. But she can’t let things just be and she tries to control every aspect of their lives just as she tries to control every aspect of her own and this leads to relationship breakdown and Harriet missing important clues about how the people in her life feel about her and about each other. And at the same time, her agent over-the-top Wilbur, he of the daring fashion choices, is having work troubles and his sparkle is dimming. Harriet can’t let that happen and has to fix things for him by frenetically making money for Wilbur without him working out that she knows. She scores a fashion shoot with Vogue and steals her baby sister to be in it with her and a job in India which she tries to sneak overseas for and which has the usual misunderstandings and hilarity that Harriet is known for. This is the second last book of the main series and it’s Harriet at her most endearing. She means well and you have to love her bumbling attempts to help everyone around her, generally without a thought for her own happiness. This is my favorite book in the series so far.Highly recommended.
i loved it I absaloutly loved this series the books are ssssoooooo good and i hope holly smale writes some more geek girl books soon i aso love harriet!
Fun and funny This is book 5 of the Geek Girl series.First and foremost I have to say I am with India, the whole way. I might be by myself when it comes to that, but I totally get her attitude towards Harriet and her controlling behaviour. The random facts, figures and tidbits of information were amusing. I now know many more random things I might need one day. I think young readers will like the energy and especially enjoy following her life through various awkward stages in life.In this book she and her friends are in college. Harriet still lives in a world of excessive micro management, unfortunately she also expects her friends to live up to her own personal expectations. She sets the bar really high for herself and everyone around her.Harriet and her Dad are just too cute, like two peas in a pod. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I wonder what Tabitha will be like when she is older. Based on the little tikes adventures in this book, she seems to fit comfortably on the Manners tree.Eventually Harriet has to acknowledge that part of growing up is being able to conform, accept change and to be a little more flexible with her friends and family.Head over Heels is fun, fast-paced and delightfully eccentric.*I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley.*
this is a great book for everybody that has read all the others. Harriet finally makes a group of friends but makes so many mistakes it ends up costing her something valuable. this book is written by holly smale who is a fantastic writer!
I really enjoyed this book, it has a lovely friendship and romantic storyline. Definitely recommend it to 10-13 age category, however, if you like to read this ;I would advise reading all the other ones first . Really enjoyed the book overall.
I really liked this book and have read all of the Geek Girl books (not including Sunny Side Up) but Forever Geek is by far my favourite. However, I didn’t like the fact (SPOILER) Jasper and Harriet got ‘together’. Jasper isn’t meant for Harriet, nor the other way round. They don’t fit together like Nick and ‘Harry-Chan’ do.I absolutely LOVED the fact Toby and Run supposedly hooked up. They would just be the CUTEST couple. Can’t wait to read Sunny Side Up!Sunny xxx 😉
Very good book although some parts are random.Just to let you know Harriet gets with Jasper in the end.India leaves Harriet because sheâs too controlling.
I love these books so much I feel lime I kind of relay to what Harriet s feeling and I love how something like this is possible. Without hesitation I would say it’s the best book I have ever read
