Women’s Cotton Shirt, Button Down, Long Sleeve, V-neck, a basic casual top Women’s Cotton Shirt, Button Down, Long Sleeve, V-neck, a basic casual top. This 90% cotton and 10% linen blend shirt is the basic casual shirt that is a foundation piece for every wardrobe. It is a button-down shirt with a stand-up collar and long sleeves. It can be worn with the hem tucked in or left out. The sleeves have regular barrel cuffs and the sleeves can be rolled-up for more casual wear. There is a single chest pocket. The shirt is carefully sewn with straight seams and careful workmanship. I think it is best hand-washed in cold water and air-dried to prevent shrinkage. I subdued wrinkles with my hand steamer. I am glad I ordered this basic shirt that can be worn to the office and casual events. Its classic look will always be good and appropriate. It is comfortable, feels fine against my skin, and should be long-lasting.
I Can’t Get Enough of This Well-Made Shirt SO glad I chose to go with basic beige in this button down casual shirt; building my wardrobe with a very narrow color palette of primarily beige, black and occasional pops of red means this has quickly become a very versatile go-to shirt in my wardrobe rotation. Cotton @ 90% plus 10% Linen adds a bit of finer texture while still ensuring breathability with two great all-natural fabrics…and the boxy cut with longer “tail” in back adds a lot of visual interest, so this piece can also be worn as a shirt jacket over a turtleneck or tank top, depending on the season. What I like most of all about this garment is that it has an overall drape-y quality that indicates a bit of flow, and the detailing at the shirt collar, pocket and cuffs is quite fine…so that it’s described as both for office and casual wear because, as I’ve happily discovered, this garment’s tailored in such a way that it can make you look and feel like a million buck, even if you’re just pairing it with jeans for a casual day around town.
Not a good look on my wife QUICK SUMMARY: WHAT SHE LIKED: – Very pretty light blue color – Fabric is light and breathable cotton/linen – The long sleeves cover oneâs wrists (sometimes long sleeves are too short for her) WHAT COULD BE BETTER: – The fit is boxy and seems more of a menâs fit â wide at the shoulders and straight from the shoulders to the hips – Not true to size: Size medium is too big in the shoulders for someone who wears a medium. For someone who wears a large, the medium fits in the shoulders but the sleeves are too short and it is tight in the stomach and hip area. – It recommends professional dry cleaning for the shirt, which if you’re not into paying high dry cleaning costs, then that’s potential a deal-breaker for you CONCLUSION: There are better, easier-to-care-for blouses to choose from.
Nicely made, well-sewn So, overall, this is a nice shirt. It’s very linen-like, stiff and kind of scratchy, but that’s what you want with a linen shirt. It’s very well made, the collar detail is impeccable, the length is great and the sleeves are the right length without being too long or too short. The color seems like a baby poop brown, not what I was expecting, but I can make it work well enough with my other pieces. Also, the buttons need to be replaced as they are lower-end quality. I feel that the shirt is a tad wide for a large, but that is a small quibble. I like this, it’s exactly what I expected except for the color variation and I will be able to deal with that. I cannot imagine that this would do well in the washing machine, and it would certainly shrink to tiny in the dryer, so this is a dry-clean only piece.
Crisp, Comfortable Fabric, with Smart Boxy Cut I ordered this shirt in the color White in size Medium. For reference, I usually order a size 8 in button-down shirts. I’m about 38-29-38, 5’4″ tall and long-waisted. I consulted the size chart which says that this shirt measures 43.3 inches across the chest in size Medium but for some reason, it kind of pulls across the bust on me even though the bodice is somewhat boxy. Don’t let that prevent you from buying this crisp shirt, but don’t think that because the measurements are generous, you should order the next size down. In my case, I’ll probably sew a little snap on the inside of the placket to keep it laying flat across the bust. The shirt’s fabric and cut are really comfortable. It has that somewhat roomy, unstructured retro look and feel reminiscent of the 1980’s/90’s. The sleeves are a couple of inches long on me (but again, I’m only 5’4″), so I folded the cuffs up and buttoned them together as if I was wearing cufflinks, and I like that look. I recommend this shirt for professional or casual wear. It’s smart and rather preppy!
This shirt will shrink! I ordered my usual Medium, really dislike the size chart – anyway, it did fit. For reference, measurements 37.5, 30, 36 at 128# and 5’6″ The instructions say dry cleaning this 90%cotton, 10% linen is recommended – well, I decided to wash cold & drip dry – mistake. The once nice long sleeves shrank about 3 inches, the rest of the shirt shrank, too. It’s still wearable, just shorter & I can roll up the sleeves. Makes me sad cause the SHEBOTE shirt is nice otherwise. The blue color is such a nice light blue, nice pleat in back of shoulder area and the shirt is soft. If you didn’t care for the wrinkled look, you’d need to iron. Hopefully it won’t shrink much more, I don’t love it enough to use a dry cleaner!
Cool, comfortable breezy yet sturdy 90% cotton/10% linen fabric. Classic style sholders. The 90% cotton/10% linen fabric in this shirt has a tight but slightly open weave which is great for summer wear. It feels light and breezy for summer wear but also sturdy. It is true to size, has a classic fit at the shoulders and in the sleeves. The hem is square and the back panel is about an inch and a half longer than the front. It is a very nice comfortable shirt. I haven’t washed it yet but the linen blend should keep it from shrinking.
