7 reviews for 30W 12V Solar Battery Charger – Portable Solar Battery Maintainer,Solar Trickle Charger with Waterproof Charger Controller for Cars, Boats, RVs & More
30 watt solar trickle charger This all-in-one kit is an awesome way to keep your battery is topped off. I attached mine to my camper and it keeps my batteries topped off without the need to plug it into Shore power. That is a huge convenience. It comes with carabiners to hang it and suction cups to stick it to the side of the camper this has to be the most convenient way to keep your batteries topped off so they are fully charged when you are ready to hit the road. I don’t think it would be enough to sustain a camping trip with just a 30 watt panel but that’s not what it was designed for. It works very well my batteries are fully charged and we’ll stay that way as long as the sun shine and there’s nothing being used inside the camper. It comes with a set of alligator clips that will attach via SAE connectors a direct bolt on SAE connector and a convenient connector to plug it directly into a cigarette lighter in charge via the cigarette lighter while it is sitting in the windshield of your vehicle. I had a 10 Watt solar trickle charger that just didn’t keep up. This 30 watt is more than capable of keeping your batteries fully charged. It’s semi-flexible meaning you can’t roll it but it will Flex around the curve of the campers. The cost is a good deal considering what you get. I would highly recommend this for the solar trickle charger over the smaller ones and the quality is good.
Perfect for keeping Seascooter batteries charged We’ve got a couple Seadoo underwater Seascooters that the kids and their friends love to play with. Historically we keep them indoors and have a wall charger, but this solar panel allows us to keep them down by the pool with the solar cell mounted in direct sunlight. This keeps the batteries in full charged condition at all times. When depleted we just hook them back up to recharge or if we need a quick charge we can still us the plug in charger. So far it seems to work great as this will keep charged both the 12V motorcycle style batteries without any issue. We’ll see how long it lasts being in the direct sun all season, but so far I have no doubt it will lasts a few seasons. It was easy to install and rig through the wall of our pool house. We did have to create a custom wire lead to charge the batteries but other than that everything else was included.Build quality seems good, and the included accessories give you a wide variety of options to charge and power different thigs. While its not the cheapest 30W panel on Amazon it is also not the most expensive, so for the price I would say its a decent deal and if it fits what you need then I would recommend it.
Works… Just not quickly I pulled this out because my mower battery was dead. The days were partly cloudy and it took 3 days to charge the battery back up. The images show taking this on a trip to charge your batteries. It will definitely help, but I wouldn’t rely on this to be your sole mode of recharging your batteries. This is labeled as a trickle charger, so it is doing what it says it should. I haven’t put my multi-meter on it yet to sample the actual output. I have placed it on the side of my shed and will keep my boat batteries connected to it to keep them topped up since it’s good for them to charge slowly anyway.I like the indicator lights, but…I don’t like that the indicator lights are on the back. That’s fine if you are placing it on a window, but most of the time I’m not going to be doing that. I mounted it in a location where I can see the lights through a window, but I’m blocking part of a window I’d rather not block.
Perfect for our Travel Trailer I am using this to keep the batteries topped off on our travel trailer. I have it wired in Parallel to keep it at 12volts and charge both batteries together. It is great knowing that the trailer will be ready to roll at any moment without having to keep it plugged into shore power at the house all the time. I have also used it to charge up the battery on my 71 Chevy Truck as well as the battery on my fishing boat! I’ve had it for a week and love how easy it is to set up and move around to different vehicles if needed. It has three lights on the back to show the status of the unit and came with three different ways to connect it to your system. I have used the 12v outlet with my chevy truck, the permanent bolt on connector with my Travel Trailer and the Alligator clips for my Boat’s Trolling motor battery. I am very happy with this set up and highly recommend it.
Lightweight yet well constructed Just the ticket for my truck that sits for long periods of time and the onboard security cameras will tend to drain the battery. Note that this is NOT to 7, 10, or even 20 watt solar charger. This one is 30 watt and is capable of keeping the truck batteries topped off. Have seen many of the smaller ones at the same price point, so this is definitely and good value for the price.
Nice thing to have on the side This is a useful item to have in your car or in your home in case of emergency situations. The solar panel is giant and charged fairly quickly. The 3 attachments for charging are versatile and the different choices give you an array of uses for this product. I’ll personally be using this for my car battery, and I really wish I would’ve found this item a long time ago when i needed it more. Overall, I like this solar panel charger, it charges the battery like it’s supposed to. The thin size fits right in the car or even in between the car seats. I love when things don’t take up much space – it makes me love it even more.
This is really nice. Sometimes when you receive an item, and you open a box you can just tell if its a quality item just by the way that its packed and presented. This is one of those items. The packaging shows a little bit of thought went into it.This panel comes with a bunch of different leads and they all quick connect into the main harness. These are very nice because you can leave the connectors attached to your battery or load, and then disconnect the panel if you need to move the item containing your load. It comes with nice alligator clips, just like a battery charger and I found these to be adequate for the use. There are some suction cups included so you could stick it to some nearby glass and the included documentation is well written and useful. This is a very nice panel setup. Theres an integrated charge controller with indicator lights and they are well explained in the manual
