Great bundle price for studio foam!
This was a steal of a bundle- 10/10 for both use and quality- The instructions are also very self explanatory in the installation process- Just the adhesive stuff isn’t the best- It’s little tiny individual dots you have to use to install on it (5 per 1 piece of foam paneling)- Which gives my rating more of a 4/5 stars- the rest is great though!

They Work Just Fine
Before buying these, I read pretty much all of the reviews. Most were positive, but there were some negatives. I bit the bullet and ordered them. They’re up, and here are my thoughts:1. People complained that many of their tiles never expanded. Yes, they come squished tightly together in vacuum sealed bags, and that flattens them rather effectively. However, I immediately dampened my tiles under the faucet, wrung them out, and ran them through the laundry drier. They popped right into shape. No issues. There were some that were more squashed than others, and I set those aside to see what they did on their own. Two or three hours after unpacking, they weren’t quite as thick as the ones I dampened and dried, but still about 90 percent back to their intended thickness. They were fully expanded the next day. Considering the instructions say to give them a day or two, that’s pretty good in my book.2. Others say their tiles smelled weird. Mine didn’t. At all. No smell that I could detect.3. A handful of reviews claim their tiles were cut at wonky angles. Mine were perfect squares. I ordered the 50 pack and all 50 have 90 degree corners.4. More than a few said the double-sided tape for hanging up the tiles didn’t work for them. I have had zero issues so far. I think it depends on (a) how much pressure you use in pressing the tape to the intended surface, and (b) the type and cleanliness of the surface you’re sticking them to. Tape sticks better to some surfaces and not so well to others. In my case, the surface is raw cedar paneling. Also, if there’s any dust or smoke residue on your walls, the tape won’t adhere to it very well. So I’d strongly suggest making sure the surface is clean before trying to stick things to it. And give the tape a good hard press when applying it to the wall. It helps ensure adhesion to both the hanging surface and the tile.5. Some reviewers complained that the tiles don’t block sound. News flash — acoustic paneling isn’t meant to STOP sound. That’s what wall insulation is for. It may help DEADEN sound, but that’s it. I bought mine for a 6×8 recording studio. I have curtains, soft furniture, and a thick area rug to help deaden sound and cut echo, but the cedar panel ceiling was echoing and I had to eliminate that. I started with 25 panels on the ceiling above my recording equipment. That equals two thirds of the ceiling. As soon as they were up, I recorded a minute or two of test audio, and voila — the echo was almost completely eliminated. Not bad, if you ask me. I plan on putting up the rest, but I’m done for now. I’ll update when I have the rest of the setup completed. For my initial impression, I’m giving it 5 stars.UPDATE: 1 week later, here’s my report. The day after installing the tiles, one of the tile had a corner come loose. I pressed it back up and it stayed. No adhesion issues since. I have also tiled the rest of the ceiling and my echo issues seem to be pretty much eliminated. So my 5-star rating remains intact.

They’re nice but…
These are pretty good, they come with a BUNCH! Everyone says the stickers don’t stick but I have to disagree. These stickers do more than stick. They do the job so well that if you place it on the wall with one of the foam pieces and you want to move it later on in the future, it can rip the foam piece. Other than that, it does block out some background sound, looks cool, they can get dusty, but it’s a good product for beginners.Side note for the stickers- make sure to press them down really hard and rub them. I promise you that’s the key to it.

It is subjective too falling off the wall still, it reduces echo, however sound still permeates it
Easy install relatively low price, you get extra sticky pads even with 5 per tile, how ever the lack of it traping sound suxs it doesn’t even mitigate the sound going through it and the walls, I wouldn’t recommend it to someone in my position, or in apartments, how ever if you live alone in a house, I’d recommend it, cause it does stop echo, illbeit you do need to mush down on them where you put the sticky stuff at, also pro tip stick your dominant hands thumb in the sticky pad and pull down then you can peal it.

Missing dots to install and over half the foam
I got this pack because it was a high quantity and came with the adhesive dots which I was running low on. This pack came with no adhesive dots and only 24 foam pieces despite paying for the 52 pack. I canât return because they claim I donât have the full product but they never sent it to me. Definitely buy different foam, cheapest quality, horrible customer service 0/5

Great sound deadening.
I just had a new furnace installed and it is waaay louder than the old one. I stuck a bunch of these on the door to the furnace and the sound level went back down to the old furnace level. Iâm still adding panels to the walls in there and it gets quieter the more I add.Downside⦠the double stick dots they give you go onto the foam easy but peeling the second side off is not easy. It would be great if they had a tab but I found if I use a small knife tip to go between the sticky pad and the peel off part, it works. Still not easy but it works.

Way too thin to be effective.
These mute nothing. Nada. No effect at all. Moderately cool to look at, but the word “soundproofing” does not, AT ALL, apply to this product.Provides perhaps a 2db reductionon a good day. If you hold your mouth just right, and squint.

Does the job ð

This was bought for design rather than to reduce noise. Itâs perfect. When it arrived it seemed so flimsy and out of shape. Once unpacked and left for a few days it was great and formed the perfect shape for fitting. Came with tape also.

At first glance I was disappointed because the product is vacuum sealed and they seem much thinner than advertised. They do eventually come back to their original form but it takes time. Make sure once you open the packaging to peel them separately and let them expand before installing. Some pieces are cut better than others, and some donât have the nicest edges. I bought extra so I was able to pick out the better ones. The double edged stickers worked surprisingly well and I haven had one fall off yet. Just apply good pressure on all four corners when installing. Over all Iâm pretty content with the final result
