Amazing computer at a killer price First off this is a steal at this price, the specs of the machine and being able to upgrade items such as RAM and storage after are awesome! Build quality is overall awesome but is mostly plastic. CPU and GPU are extremely fast and the screen is amazing to look at on the go. The only major cons are that true Thunderbolt devices are not supported only USB C/4 with it being AMD and as far as I can tell there is no way to change the backlighting color on this laptop which is a pretty basic thing for most gaming laptops anymore. If you’re looking for a solid machine at a killer budget for some medium gaming or performance work this is a great option!
Phenomenal machine: fast and highly functional  The GOOD: This is a highly capable machine geared toward gaming so it has a crazy fast processor and an excellent video card. I started this up and launched Prime Video to watch our family’s favorite movies and there was absolutely no loading. It was astonishing after dealing with a legacy Dell and cheap HP that are just not capable (possibly through planned obsolescence). This thing is fast. Videos played great and I launched my favorite game Civilization, which is typically very heavy and slow on this Nitro and it has performed expertly. There is very little delay and it handles the map zooming and panning along with the action extremely well. The BAD: I’m not a fan of the more square-like monitor. Not sure if this is a “gaming” aspect ratio, but it feels a little limiting. The Windows 11 OS also has its issues with the pathetic native Windows apps and their false restrictions (see the notice in the pictures on the Brave Browser alert). Also, they claim a free Xbox game pass but it required credit cardâI think it’s a free month maybe. The UGLY: When I first opened it up I wanted to get started right away so I clicked what I thought was the power button but that didn’t work. I thought it might need to be charged, so I plugged it in but there aren’t any lights on the adapter to indicate it was charging. My wife pointed out that there is a light on the right side to indicate charging and charged. But the next day, when I tried it again, it still didn’t work. My wife suggested that I read the instructions and voila, there was a power button on the keyboard. The button I thought was the power button is the “mode” button but I’m not sure what that does really. It doesn’t seem to do anything. All in all, this is a phenomenal machine. It’s not cheap but it performs.
