Nice shorts, but very wide These shorts feel like great quality, the material feels sturdy, but they are disproportionately wide. They flare out at the thigh and look crazy to wear.
Too Large and Very Dark I like the material on these shorts. It is soft and not too thick. They are fairly comfortable. But I do have a few complaints. The rise on these shorts is enormous. If I wear them on my normal waist, my legs rub together. And if I want to avoid that, I have to wear them at grandpa height. I also found them too big. I was between the 1X and 2X sizes, and I definitely should have gotten the smaller size. It works with the drawstring, but I would prefer not to have to tie it so tight because that is uncomfortable. Hopefully they will shrink a bit in the wash, and both of the issues I have with size will resolve themselves, but considering how soft the fabric is, they have probably already been thoroughly washed. The color I received is nothing like the pictures of the khaki shorts. They are significantly darker, though not as dark as the olive. I would describe the color more like a British khaki than a normal khaki.I know these are supposed to be casual shorts, but I do wish they had belt loops so I could wear a belt with them if I wanted. A belt is generally much more comfortable for me than a drawstring because a drawstring is so small and feels like it is pinching, whereas a thicker belt does not do that. Finally, I find it more than a little bit strange that these shorts have one back pocket. Now, this is not a functionality issue for me, because I only ever use the left back pocket anyway, but I think it looks weird.
Definitely baggy My guy is 298 pounds and 6 feet tall. He typically wears XXL in regular size so I sized down to a XL for âbig and tallâ sizing. This move made little difference as it was still pretty baggy. My guy did not like the fit of it and said he didnât think was going to wear it but let me tell you a month later those shorts are all he wears on weekends, very comfortable, easy to wash.
Nice over-sized cotton shorts. Tooo much elastic in the waist. Maybe order 1 or 2 sizes larger? These are as advertised. Very large, very well-made cotton shorts. In fact, these should be FAR too large for me and I ordered them in the knowledge that they would be so large I could only wear them around the house, possibly for sleep wear and lounge wear. Nevertheless, despite the fact that the waist on the smallest size available is supposedly many inches too large, I find these almost uncomfortably snug around the waist due to the excessive use of elastic in the waist. I fail to understand why almost every sort of casual wear has so much tight elastic in the waist. Apart from (some) martial arts style pants it has become very difficult to find supposedly casual clothing that isn’t made with an excessive amount of tight elastic in the waist. You’d think that big and tall clothing might ease up a bit on the elastic, but nooooooooo! I can only assume that somewhere there is a ruthless elastic monopoly that forces all casual clothing manufacturers to overuse elastic in their clothing and if they try to produce pure drawstring clothing either without elastic or with just light elastic they receive an offer they can’t refuse. At any rate, apart from, once again, too much elastic and a resulting waist that is tighter than advertised these are okay shorts. If you really want comfortable shorts consider reading the sizing chart and add several inches to your actual waist size then add several more then order that size. If you enjoy very tight elastic around your waist, follow the sizing chart.

Cool shorts
Great shorts for any occasion. They could even be pressed for a more serious appeal.

They are true to size
The only thing is they are a little long but they are very lightweight and comfortable.
