Wrist and/or Ankle! I have only gotten the chance to use the bracelet once while fishing in a heavily wooded area that is typically swarming with mosquitos & other flying insects. I chose to wear the “bracelet” around my ankle as that’s where it seems most things like to bite me. I did not receive a single bite on my entire body after wearing only one of these for over 4 hours in the midday’s sun (~95 degrees F). It survived my sweat, some water and some other fishing dirt/debris. I plan on using one again today but might open a new one to put on and sling the old one around my tackle-box. I would imagine if you threw one of these on your ankle and one on your wrist (or backpack maybe?) you’d be able to hike through some decently heavy stuff and come out relatively unscathed. Always have a backup when it comes to insect repellent!
Surprisingly Effective We had our doubts about these but I HATE bug spray so my thoughtful wife got these for us. Well, they work quite well and I think they smell kinda good too. They are super easy to use, last longer than one time ,come in a ziploc bag for storage between uses and well worked.I highly recommend these.by the way, we are up in the mosquito capital of the USA in Alaska. That’s so nice as they’re so easy to use because you can wear it around your wrist or you can wear around your leg. You can actually stretch it enough to wear it around your neck or you can attach it to something and hang it on your person.
Seems to work pretty well. Definitely worth a try. We are in Georgia and the mosquitos are extremely rampant here. We used these on our ankles while fishing and they actually seemed to work. It was midday so the buggers weren’t out as bad as at dusk but I feel like it did cut down on any bites. One evening my daughter and I sat on our porch swing and I could see the mosquitos flying around. They would still come up to us but I didn’t notice any landing on the body part with the bracelet. If you’re in an area where they are bad I’d wear one on ankle and one on wrist. Hence the 4 stars. The smell is nice and not overpowering to me. Typical essential oils smell.
They worked!! We were going camping and after the rain we have had I knew we would encounter tons of bugs. These had good reviews and for the price – I thought why not? To my absolute astonishment, they worked – not a single bug or bite once we put them on. I still can’t believe it. I like that they are individually wrapped and different colors. Recommend without hesitation. I still can’t believe they worked 🙂
Surprised at how well these worked Humid Kentucky summers means lots of mosquitos (and bird seed that sprouts in the feeders!)I got these so that I could work out in the garden without getting eaten alive. I have been very happy with how well they worked. I put one on a wrist and the other on my knee and went out in shorts and a short sleeve shirt and worked without getting bit once. So I ordered more because I am blown away at how well they work. I just wish the scent lasted longer. They only last, it seems, for a few hours.
Better than using the spray We moved to a place with tons of mosquitos. We can’t take the dogs out without getting bit up. When I wear the bracelet I notice I do not get bitten. Problem is, having to put it on every time I go out the door, and not knowing when it’s lost its “power” until I get bit! But I am definitely going to buy more.
An alternative to sprays Overall, we like these bracelets. We have a home business and spend a lot of time packing and shipping in our garage with the door open for ventilation, which unfortunately can often mean getting attacked by mosquitos during spring and summer months. Repellant sprays work, but they are full of chemicals and often feel greasy and add to the uncomfortableness of hot weather. So, we tried these. In short, they work pretty well. However, they do loose effectiveness over time as the scent wears off, and so it’s important to keep them in the sealed pouches when not needed. Also, for maximum effectiveness, it is best to wear one on a wrist, and another one on an ankle if you are wearing shorts. Otherwise the pesky insects will avoid your upper body and just go low and devour your lower legs and ankles.
mosquitos love me – BUT THIS WORKS TLDR-I am allergic and get thousands of mosquito bites, with this bracelet I get zero.So in order to give an adequate review, I have to start with the fact that I am essentially catnip to mosquitoes. I am a Girl Scout and even when I’m not in nature, mosquitoes always find me! My grandmother would say it was because I am sweet – but the truth is it really sucks lol I was so excited to try these bracelets on and to have them actually work! I recently went on a retreat for three days in the middle of the woods and I did not get one single bite! Not one! Please know I am now at a conference Inside and I didn’t have the braces on and I got bit five times (just providing this so you understand the comparison). These bracelets work do not wait do not pass go do not collect $200 – these bracelets are game changers and lifesavers! Thank me later!

Always hard to determine if these devices work – we never had any issues with insect bites – in Fiji, so as insurance highly recommended.
