Addictive series so glad Ms. Harris started writing more adventures for Roe
Itâs a fast fun read that you canât put down. Did not see the ending coming which made it even better. I hate a mystery by the time you finish the first two chapters you solved the case. This kept you on your toes and itâs fun seeing how Roeâs mind mulls over all the clues better than the Laurenston police.

Dead Over Heels (Aurora Teagarden #5)
Book #5 takes place about 2 years after the events of âThe Julius House.â Roe gets embroiled in another murder mystery when a body falls from an airplane and lands in her yard. While I enjoyed this, I will say it’s just not as good as the previous installments in the series. Partially that stems from disappointment – I was really interested to learn more about Martin’s shady dealings past and present, and was hoping this book would get into that. But it seems this is an abandoned plot point, having been dealt with off screen in the time jump. But also, this book isn’t especially tightly plotted. It does get to the point eventually, but it spends a good amount of time meandering about without much discernible purpose on its way there.

Great mystery…..just loved it and will continue to do so.
Story telling comes from the heart. A soothing and clear voice helps make the story all that it can be. Therese Plummer has that ability. Can’t say enough about how good she is. This book was my first listen before I knew this was number 5 in a series of books. Have listened to all seven and anxiously waitng for number 8 to become available.

… subjective description – Diane Mott Davidson is the absolute best. Stacking these up next to Goldy Bear
For a ‘cozy’ type of mysteries – that is a subjective description – Diane Mott Davidson is the absolute best. Stacking these up next to Goldy Bear, really cannot be fairly done. That being said, these books were enjoyable. The setting is likable and draws you in, the supporting characters all fit nicely into the series. The plots and crimes are edgier than a typical cozy, (than Davidson, Fluke, Sefton), but not as graphic as a full blown thriller. The biggest problem I have is with the main character, hence the 3 stars. I liked Miss Teagarden in the first two books and then she became unlikable. Her selfish qualities and woe is me attitude is not what I want to read in a literary heroine. No one is perfect, but a truly likable lead is one we can both identify with and admire. In addition, the series ended poorly. It could have used an epilogue at least, or another book to wrap up the characters so that we can imagine their ‘happily ever after’ so to speak. The books are a quick read with a good crime to solve but if you are looking for a great lead, look elsewhere.

Aurora Teagarden #5
I love this series. Iâve become a fan of Mysteries. Iâm enjoying the relationship of Roe and Martin. Itâs not perfect but a work in progress. Was a little confused that there was a two year gap between book 4 & 5. Some info was just dropped in that had me lost for a second. But Iâm on to #6.

Good read with surprise ending
The books are similar but very different from the movies. Characters and events have moved in very different directions. Both are entertaining.

Continuing the series
It begins with the terrifying Jack Burns dropped dead on her lawn. Short but sweet Aurora Teagarden is in it again.
Stina –
Engaging story with a quirky heroine. It’s easy to forget that the story was written 20+ years ago until she doesn’t just do a google search to get some quick info or plays messages on her answering machine.

C’est peut être celui de la série de Aurora Teagarden que j’aime le moins même s’il reste un très bon bouquin. L’histoire est un peu alambiquée…Le finale n’est pas aussi bien que les autres tomes de la série.

Another one of the Aurora Teagarden series to enjoy. This is an interesting, fun series and thank goodness not a recipe in sight. Just a very well dreamed up cozy mystery.
