These Cameras Might Make Me a Eufy Fan I have had wireless security cameras for about 10 years now, some have onerous subscription plans, some nag you about plans, and these Eufy cameras say you don’t need to have one. This camera setup was pretty simple, just install the app, sign up for a free account, and get a code via email. Once you have the app set up you just follow the instructions to add your camera. Just turn on the camera push the sync button, scan the QR code on the camera, then the app generates a QR code you scan with the security camera. Put it on your WIFI network and you have a hubless security camera system. The picture quality is very good in daylight, we will see how the it works with the installed light. The instructions say to charge the camera fully before installing it. You can decide what you want for notifications in the app and the app seems pretty easy to use. Nice power management page on the app with the battery level and choices of how to best manage the power. The specifications say you should never have battery issues in normal usage, but time will tell. If first impressions are any indication, I think I may become a Eufy security camera plan.
Lacks Image Detail But Robust Use WHAT’S INCLUDED:Everything is packaged in 2 separate EUFY S120 boxes, and those boxes are inside a larger one.-Eufy S120 Camera x 2-Mounting Bracket x2-Adapter for External Solar Panel x2-Screws and Anchors x2-User Guide x2PRODUCT/THOUGHTS:If you have the EUFY S120 or are familiar with it. This is the same thing. It’s simply the 2 pack version.MAX RESOLUTION: 1304x1296FPS: 15Internal storage: 8GBFOV: 120 Degrees DiagonalFINAL THOUGHTS:Pros:-The construction is pretty solid. It feels like it’s built very well. Sturdy, and can take some punishment if it accidentally falls.-The audible Alarm is loud. it’s very similar to your standard alarm system sounds.-Restarting the device is very easy to get to. Once you go into the settings it’s right there at the bottom. This might seem like a small thing, but many times the reboot function is buried in several menus, so I like that it’s very easy to get to.-The various modes you can set are great. Usually, you have to do something like set up a schedule in your notification section, and another one in your recording section..etc. But the Modes help simply that so you can do those functions from ONE area.-the UI is very clean and easy to follow. Most people will be able to pick this up and use it without issue-The speaker quality is also pretty good. Much better than a lot of outdoor cameras I’ve tested in recent months. Speaking into your mic and outputting from the speaker is quite clear and easy to hear.-The spotlight is decent. Mind you this light is diffused behind a cover. Much like you would with any kind of wall/fence solar light, it helps a lot with trying to push the color night image without causing any distortion to the image.-Rich notifications without having to have any extra service is a big plus.-Privacy Zones-They added an adapter for an external solar panel with a weatherproofing style seal. That is excellent if you have a need for a higher-wattage solar panel, or need more than what the built-in panel can provide for your needs.Cons:-The Video Quality is 50/50 for me. The colors look good, but the detail is very much lacking. Words that are not incredibly large, even at about 7 feet lose a lot of readability. This is not the kind of camera you would be using to capture at longer ranges. It’s great that they have the 2k resolution but crisp detail just falls flat on its face.-Things like shadows and dark areas are also quite dark on this camera with no ability to adjust as far as I can see. So you need enough ambient light in your recording regions. I’ll upload some pictures for review, but keep in mind it was actually much brighter than what you see in the camera pictures. Even though most people probably won’t use this camera indoors anyway, I wouldn’t recommend it either because of this.END:Overall there are a lot of good features about this wall camera. There aren’t many of these on the market when it comes to the larger brands yet. Eufy gives you additional control and features if you hook this up to their Home base system. The quality however could have been better, and I think they should have gone with a better sensor inside this thing. You do get a pretty wide FOV though and this will allow you to capture quite a bit on screen at a time. There is also no mention of motion tagging boxes and I wish it had that. I don’t have a Eufy Homebase and I’m not sure if they have that feature with that option. But it would be great if they added at least motion boxes. This wall camera will probably still suit a lot of people who like to use these kinds of solar lights like I do, but now you have a camera built into the setup, essentially. And if you already live in the Eufy ecosystem then it’s even better for you. But the cons will take the review down a star or two.
Amazing investment. Peace of mind for the house. I have a video doorbell, but wanted more peace of mind for my house. We don’t live in a particularly bad neighborhood, but I’ve had random people come up to my house at 3am in the mornings so I wanted something that will capture those moments. I love how these cameras are really good. It says 2k, but it’s more of 1080p with sharpening which I don’t mind if the 1080p is clear. Also, I love that these just attach and you don’t have to worry about powering them. My biggest gripe about video doorbells is the constant battery recharging especially when they start to get old. My video doorbell requires a charge every month now. These run on solar power (sun) so I’m hoping they stay on all the time. The best part is they match my garage perfectly and light up at night. It’s like I have normal lights. Good buy.
Brilliant addition to a eufy home camera system  Image quality is not as great as described. The 2K camera quality seems good but there is room for improvement.I’ve pointed one of these cameras at my front patio. The camera has a pretty wide angle, enough to cover plenty of the desired area I want to keep under surveillance. The integrated light is plenty useful and brighter than I initially thought.Having already owned a eufy camera doorbell, this set of 2 cameras was a fantastic addition to my home camera system. Setup was easy as well as the installation. On the eufy app, I like that you can customize a variety of settings, from camera quality (1080p or 2K), to the power mode.Speaking about power, the solar panel on each camera unit seems to work well, keeping the battery charged. eufy recommends 2 hours of direct sunlight to the solar panel in order to be continuously powered day and night without worry.Overall, recommended!
Great security flood lights, worth the pickup! The eufy Security Solar Wall Light Cam S120 has significantly upgraded my home security. The 2K HD camera provides clear video footage, and the motion-activated light ensures nothing goes unnoticed. The solar power feature is outstanding, offering continuous operation with just a couple of hours of sunlight. Installation was a breeze, and I love that there are no monthly fees. The AI detection reduces false alarms, and the IP65 waterproof rating means it stands up to any weather. This is a reliable and efficient security solution for any home.
Compact. Best choice for discreet surveillance. Not only is it super easy to install, but this camera also resembles a stylish solar wall light. You can place it in front yard or on a fence, it will blending seamlessly with surroundings without drawing much attention. The video quality is good, the night vision is clear, and the app is easy to use. The camera comes with 8GB built-in storage, which can hold up to 60 days of events footage if you select the Optimal mode. And like most solar-powered cameras, it doesn’t support 24/7 recording.
