Better than expected !!! I buy a lot of inexpensive skirts every season just to wear around the house (then throw them away when worn out) because I like staying stylish at home (especially since I work from home a lot). Most of the time, I expect the cheap quality to match the price, which I donât mind as I just wear these at home (or maybe while getting the mail or taking out the garbage), and I only expect them to last a season or two at most. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this skirt. I can definitely see myself wearing it for grocery shopping or even casual outings (probably not anywhere fancy, though). The size is quite generous, so stay true to your size for a comfortable, lounge fit. I would have possibly gone down a size if there was XS. For your reference, I ordered a small for my 5â4â, 110-pound frame (plus/minus 5 pounds, with a big butt for my size). It has a half-length lining, making the skirt perfect for wearing outside under the sun without being see-through, and itâs still breathable (because the lining is half the length and the material is breathable). I am very satisfied with the cost performance of this skirt in terms of overall quality versus price.Obviously, I cannot comment on its longevity, but my expectation was for one season when I ordered this skirt, and the fabric quality feels like it will be just fine.
A little snug I wear a 26 waist in pants from places not known for vanity sizing so I ordered a small in this skirt. It’s a little snug at the waist, even though on my most bloated days I’m a 28 inch waist. I did lose a lot of weight so I have some loose skin and this skirt definitely accentuates it and makes it roll over the edge a bit because it’s snug. Maybe the elastic will loosen up more as I wear it. It’s not unbearably small, but it’s definitely a bit snug. If you’re on the border of a size (or just have loose skin like I do), you might want to size up for comfort.Overall though, the skirt is very cute and fairly well made. The zig zag design meets up fairly cleanly on the one I received. I ordered the light blue and I don’t have any transparency issues thanks to the liner. Polyester can feel quite cheap but this one doesn’t have that overtly cheap look. I’m pretty satisfied with it overall.
Grace Karin hits a home run again… I have loved everything I have gotten from GK. The items always have great fabric and quality. I got a slightly bigger size so it would feel more comfortable and I am glad I did. I am a size 8 in pants and got the large. The material is the kind that you can wash over and over and it still looks great without any piling. It was also very easy to steam. Looks great with heels or a higher shoe since it does cut off at a somewhat unflattering location depending on your height and body type. Please forgive the lower-resolution picture, my phone camera wasn’t working so I had to use an older phone.
Beautiful skirt I am confused by the reviews that say this skirt is super long. I’m 5’2″ and ordered the XXL (I’m a size 16) and this skirt is pretty much the exact length on the model when I wear it high-waisted. It’s a nice, modest silhouette and I find it to be very fun to wear. I do think it’s worth mentioning that the “stripe” pieces are held on by a stitch through the middle of the zigzags (so the peaks of the zigzags aren’t sewn on). It hasn’t caused any issues, but I wonder if they’re going to get snagged on things while wearing.
Beautiful long skirt Oh, so many wonderful things about this skirt! It is beautiful, lovely color with cute white trim. It is fun and flows and lightweight. Pockets are perfectly placed. This is a great skirt for teaching!! It is not see through at all. I am very short (just under 5 ft) so it is a full length skirt on me. It is perfect paired with a bodysuit and a cardigan for all day in the classroom. Love love love this skirt.
Ric-rac could be sewn stronger We love this skirt. It is made of a sturdy fabric, fits exactly as expected and is flattering. The pockets are roomy. The ric-rac is adorable but will require some additional sewing to stabilize it since each strip is sewn with a single line through the center, leaving the top and bottom curves to curl when we wash the skirt. We will fix this preemptively by using a button stitch on each individual curve before the 1st wash.
Pretty full skirt in a great material and color I recently picked up this High Waist Pleated A-Line Swing Skirt, and it’s been a delightful addition to my wardrobe. The high-waisted design is incredibly flattering, cinching in just the right spot to give that classic hourglass silhouette. The skirt’s swing cut brings a playful charm that’s reminiscent of the ’50s, making it perfect for twirling on a dance floor or striding confidently into a meeting. It pairs effortlessly with a simple blouse or a cozy sweater, making it versatile for both work and weekend outings. The pleats hold their shape well, and the waistband stretches for those days when comfort is key. I did notice that lighter colors can be a bit transparent, but nothing that a slip can’t fix. All in all, it’s a skirt that marries style and comfort beautifully â a rare find that’s worth every penny.
It has pockets… need I say more? This skirt is an absolute gem! It seamlessly blends style and comfort, making it a must-have for any wardrobe. The high-waisted design is incredibly flattering, cinching at the waist and flowing beautifully to a midi length that adds a touch of elegance to any outfit. What truly sets this skirt apart are the pockets â a game-changer for practicality without sacrificing style. Perfect for summer, the lightweight fabric keeps you cool and comfortable all day long. Whether you’re dressing it up for a special occasion or keeping it casual for a day out, this skirt is versatile enough to handle it all. If you’re looking to elevate your summer fashion game, the GRACE KARIN High Waisted Swing Skirt is an unbeatable choice!
