Very sturdy
I must admit that I don’t do much with my hair besides brushing it. Now that I have a girl in the house that likes to use every styling tool imaginable, I realize that it can take up a lot of room. This is the perfect solution. There’s a shelf with cutouts for the hair dryer, curling iron, and straightener, but there’s also a cup for smaller things like brushes and combs. The second shelf is a regular shelf for the mousse, hair spray, gel, etc. The best part is the little lip at the front of the shelf because it keeps stuff from sliding off. There’s also several hooks for hair accessories.

Good buy
I bought these shelves because I get up at 3:30 am and my only bathroom is in the bedroom. I do my hair in the living room so I don’t disturb my husband in the early mornings. I spray painted the shelves black to match the rest of the living room. They were easy to hang up and they’re very sturdy. Perfect for what I needed them for.

One of the worst purchases I’ve made thru Amazon!
I rarely write a review but couldn’t pass this one up just to keep someone else from buying this item if or until the manufacturer updates this shelf. This is one of the worst purchases I have made thru Amazon. Upon opening the package I could tell that this was not a very professionally made item and in fact something that I could have easily made myself and probably should have in retrospect. It looked as if it was made by some young person in their first year of shop class. But I thought well I’ll go ahead and deal with it as it was a gift for my wife to organize her hair care items and get them off the bathroom sink, so I painted it to match our bathroom wall paint. Then to the mounting, the dinky little anchors and screws were not strong enough to support the shelf. I’m mechanically inclined enough to know what size hole to drill for the anchor so to make a tight fit for the anchors. But they just would not hold and kept pulling away from the wall when I added even a small amount of weight to the shelf. On top of that the lower shelf while using my driver to install screws I scratched up the paint as the lip on the shelf is higher than the pre-drilled mounting holes in the back so it was not possible to screw in the screws without the driver making contact with the shelf lip. It would have been better if the shelf was wide enough to catch 2 studs with screws which would have made it a strong mount. This item doesn’t deserve the one star I gave but couldn’t give it a zero! Guess I’m going to the hardware store to buy toggle bolts to anchor the shelf to the wall.
