Not cushy but seem decent
I wouldn’t rank these up there with the likes of Double HH or any other work boot for that matter, but if you are looking for a lighter compromise between a work boot and a dress shoe, then this might be the answer. While I’m not crazy about the rounded toe, (I wanted more of a western toe), they still look nice with slacks or jeans. I wouldn’t wear them as work shoes, but they would probably hold up OK, the leather is not thick like that of a work boot. The slip on aspect of these is great with arthritis and gout in the ankles and feet. I had to buy a 13 because I normally have to have 12EW, so since there are no EW’s in this shoe, the 13 is my way of getting a slightly wider shoe. I can tolerate a little more length in the toe box. At this price they fit fairly comfortably after a two week break in wearing them to work all day. I needed thinner socks the first week or so, but they are starting to get where I can wear ordinary cotton socks with them now without being too snug all day. Since I have gout, my ankles can swell with wearing shoes all day, so the elastic in the opening sure helps make them more tolerable than a regular cowboy boot. While I love cowboy boots, I just about can’t wear them anymore because of the swelling. This looks like a boot under the cuff of your pants, no one needs to know they aren’t. While I wouldn’t hike in them, they’re comfortable enough to kick around in an office all day with, or if you need to go out to a site and work a few hours, they are very tolerable, even without a special foot bed. I got very used to my worn out memory foam skchrs, so I worried these would feel too flat footed for me, but after a couple of weeks I’m really getting used to them as they break in. The finish is too nice to use with shovels and tools, but they seem fairly scuff resistant, so maybe they can take a bit of a beating. The sole is like that of a white-rubber work boot, not an oil-welt, but seem to be resistant to slippage and they have a bit of a heel. Not like a cowboy boot, which can add 3/4 of an inch or more, but they do add about 3/8 inch. I noticed the height change from the skchrs right away. One of the reasons I like my cowboy boots was the boost in height. It is really remarkable how a fraction of an inch in height can change how you can see ahead of you or over the tops of steel cabinets and things. I’m already 6′ so, It’s not about vanity. For me height in a shoe is a practical tool. It helps my perception of space and distance. I missed that when I couldn’t wear cowboy boots any more. These give a little bit of that back to me. So, yeah, I kind like the danged Italian made things. They don’t make good cars, but they seem to make pretty good shoes! Others have good things to say about these, which is one reason I bought them on the “Try Before You Buy” plan. I’ve never bought shoes online before, so this is a first. Sure I’ve bought sandals online, but they are usually pretty forgiving, not the same as a shoe. So far, I’m pretty happy. At this price, I may get a second pair in a different color.

made to last
These boots are durable. The sole is at least half an inch thick making it comfortable and functional. can walk through small puddles even and not be worried about wet socks. Also looks great

Good looking boot… . . but
Great book, like the way it looks and feels. bought a 9.5 boot and I had to polish with leather conditioner several time and then put a shoe stretcher for one week. The boot was very tight and does not come in a wide. I do not wear a wide. Fortunately the stretchers worked, now they fit comfortably. Like I said a good looking boot and feels great now.

Good boots for the price
I got these because I have a slip on Merrell that is water resistant that I used for my all purpose boots. The problem with those is that when walking/hiking, small debris would often get into the shoes. These shoes seem to have reduced the problem as their ankle height is taller. They are pretty waterproof. The only part that can absorb some water is the ankle elastic area. They are pretty comfortable to even hike in. Worth the price.

UPDATE – Good boots – SIZE DOWN
Shockingly comfortable given the price point. Seem to be good quality overall although they do run large. I typically wear a 9 in all shoes but got these in an 8 based on size chart and the fit is perfect. Going to purchase another color or two for different occasionsUPDATE- 3-4 weeks after purchasing.Still comfortable but the leather material is already beginning to peel off at the creases.

Wow!
Wow I was pleasantly surprised I think they are pricey but I don’t normally spend a hundred bucks on shoes boots or anything like that there’s no need for it but I needed a nice dressy but rugged looking boot and these are fantastic they fit as accurate in the description for your size the quality is really really nice I got the black I only wish they would have made the souls a little thicker they are good but a little bit thicker would have been better for me but I’m not complaining they are excellent looking with a good tread on the bottom
