Does the job
First, the picture makes this item look much darker than it actually is – I would have preferred the dark grey / charcoal, but it is more of a light grey. Oh well. I did measure my sink as well, but in person it seems smaller than I expected. I originally wanted it because my roommates like to leave a sponge wet-side down on the counter which is… disgusting…, and ended up only using one side as it doesn’t really fit under our soap / bottle scrubber holder thingie (too small). It really needs to be about 1-2 inches longer and wider! In any case, I like that I have a backup piece for the sponge side of the faucet. It has helped dry it out, and does have ridges so at least some air is getting under the sponge. It also has reduced the slime grime that builds up in that area. I swear by diatomite’s water absorbency and was not disappointed with the function of this splash guard!

Pleasantly Surprised !
I have used silicone faucet mats and were satisfied with the way that it kept water spots from being around my stainless steel sink area but with this Drying Stone Mat i am more than satisfied i am THRILLED !! It is a Hard Stone mat that Lays Flat and is Beautiful and so much better than fabric or silicone . When water hits this mat it evaporates within seconds , I don’t quite understand how it does it but it does . It lays flat on my sink so i can put the soap dispenser and sponge on it . I highly recommend this drying mat !!

It’s like magic!
 I got this because I constantly had puddles under my hand soap and around the kitchen faucet. It fits perfectly around the base of the faucet and extends the width of most of my kitchen sink. I was amazed at how fast the stone absorbed the water (see my video! Ignore the ant – ugh). This little tray will do a great job of keeping the area around my sink dry. As someone else said, the gray color is a bit lighter than what I had expected but it’s fine.

I don’t know how long this material will last, hopefully I won’t be disappointed
