Customers say
Customers like the sharpness, value, and completeness of the knife sharpener. For example, they mention it does a great job of sharpening many knives, the stones are nice, and the bamboo stand is nice. That said, some disagree on angle guide, grit selection, and ease of use.

Nice tool
Good tool for knife nerds. You better know what you’re doing.

Great for the money
These stones are just great! You get more for your money. 4 different grit stones, a nice bamboo base, a leather strap for the burr, and rubber âthingsâ to hold the stones in place. I get that you can get bigger stones but this is definitely worth it. Iâve already sharpened a couple knives and almost accidentally cut myself, lol. 10/10 recommend.

Good quality, low durability.
The quality of the edge I achieved with these was pretty impressive, but the stones wore down noticeably after sharpening 2 knives. I also sharpened two chipped axe heads back to working order.Good for occasional use, probably not for professional work due to durability.

Great bargain
Everything you need to keep your knives sharp. The angle guide is a BIG help. Just keep the stone wet while using and clean it when you are finished.

Don’t run with sharp items.
Well made, and easy to change out the stones.

Fixer vs Flattener
This is a decent set for the money, a good value home use set. This is not a professional set. These are wet stones, you use then with water not oil, they will wear away. This set will last a while for home use keeping your kitchen knives sharp. The worse you let the knives get, the more you will wear these stones sharpening them. There are two fixer flatterer/flattener stones and I see much confusion over these. The big dark one flattens, the small one smooths scratches. They are used like the other stones, course, then finer. The large grey one with the groves is used to take a dish our of the stones. As you sharpen a knife it is hard, if not impossible, to keep wear even you will get more wear in the center, and a “dish” will form. The grooved side of the larger flattening stone will take this out by wearing away the higher ends. Lay the stone on glass to check this. You can also scribble on it with a pencil and go until all the pencil is off. (The back side can be used to fix really trashed blades, but you will dish it and then cannot fix it). The smaller white stone is then used to fine tune the wet stone you just flattened. It will take out any micro groves and scratches left by the bigger fixer stone or shards of steel that grooved the wet stone.

It’s a Good Sharpening Stone
I’ve used it a couple of times now, and it’s a good sharpening stone. Or stones I should say. The kit is good with a set of grits from coarse to fine. It also comes with good accessories, like an angle guide, so I’d also recommend it for those just learning how to hone edges.

This is my first set.
So this is my first set of sharpening stones and I have to say that I love it. Iâve had single sharpening stones before, but never multiple roughness. I really like how easy it is to get a nice long stroke and how well they work.Only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is simply because as I stated earlier, this is my first one, so I donât have anything to compare it to. But I still think itâs a really awesome set.

Great features

The flattening stone is actually softer than the sharpening stones, so after a few uses it is impossible to make the stones flat again. Thought I could get away with some cheap stones and carefull use but apparently not. Would not recommend.
