had to update my review to 5 stars Update: customer service reached out to me right away and sent me a replacement. Great service! Bought this for my husband on April 4 and it no longer works. Hopefully the seller reaches out because weâre really disappointed.
Did not cut me. I have been using the tremor I use on my sideburns for men escaping. Using this device I would nick myself on occasion and it would be very uncomfortable. This new trimmer is excellent. It did a wonderful job. I used it in the direction as instructed and it was excellent. Smooth finish with no nicks or burns.
Love the product – but no longer charges 🙁 I bought this after seeing it shared on social media. Love how great the product is! Such a clean shave. Unfortunately, it no longer charges on the dock that it came with. Not sure if that is due to water damage – Iâve always kept it in the shower but out of direct water exposure. Other than that, LOVE! Just unsure if I will buy a new one since the same thing could potentially happen again⦠disappointed because itâs such an awesome product!
Battery died, I’m buying again Not perfect (you might get nicked), but very comfortable and pretty good. Mine lasted 3 years until the battery would no longer hold than a minutes’ worth of charge, and I’m buying another 3.0 as I read the 4.0 and 5.0 are downhill. Fwiw, it has an internal ICR14500 battery which is soldered and glued to the PCB, so not really replaceable unless you’re very careful. I also destroyed the unit while trying to open it, not realizing there are hidden screws under the front panel. But it’s a testament to how comfortable it is that I’m buying another.
Overpriced and overhyped Sadly this product is a case of mass marketing, over promising and under delivering. Iâm sure youâve heard the ads – manscaped is One of many companies going the new route of advertising through podcasting and it is a great was to reach your audience these days. Unfortunately for me, and thousands of others who have made this purchase, the product simply does not live up to the hype. I will be much more cautious is the future before my favorite podcaster is able to influence me into buying a overpriced product when much cheaper and more reliable options are easily available and I have proven experience with them. The good: Design – feels like a well made product. Good features and marketing Light – built in LED is an awesome idea, and frankly should be included on all mid/high range trimmer Waterproof – ease of cleaning, take in shower, etc. Feel – overall fine grip, has nice texture and the ergonomics are not terrible The bad: The blades – I cannot stress this enough, the most important feature on any razor or trimmer is ultimately how well it cuts your hair. If this is off no number of bells and whistles will redeem it. This trimmer uses ceramic blades boasting improved sharpness and cleanliness. While this may be true (I have not compared the teeth to a traditional metal counterpart) the blades are also offset from the their counterparts. I believe this is advertised as a âfeatureâ to reduce cuts and nicks however it is a fatal flaw of the product. This causes any hairs not perfectly aligned with the cutting area to be pulled. Sure the skin is not directly in the blade, but the endless number of hairs that are pulled and not sliced will result in more razor bumps and ingrown hairs than youâve ever thought possible. I would rather cut myself once every ten shaves than be guaranteed ten pulled hair every shave with this product. The blade pt. 2 – unlike most other razors, there is no way to adjust the blade (outside of included razor guard). Normal trimmers have three options, allowing far mid and close alignment of where the teeth are intersecting. A simple fix of âcloseâ likely would fix this problem, however the 2.0 somehow didnât consider this problem. Maybe in the 3.0? Unfortunately without a âclose, alignment the razor guard only exasperates this problem. The light – while great in theory, the light is a single LED diode with minimal output. It has been -ok- so far, but realistically will only dim with time. It does help in dark areas like showers that donât have direct lighting, but I was expecting and hoping for so much more Overall – I must say I was quite excited to try this out after ordering, all of the great reviews and promised features were going to be a huge upgrade for me. For a decade+ I had been using a simple r***** trimmer that cost ~$20, lasting about 5 years each time. This easily handled any facial and under trimming needs I had, and although I had cut myself on occasion it was an easy process to learn how to navigate. I expected a product costing ~3X to deliver 3X the performance. Instead what I ended up with was a very well marketed underperforming product that fails to deliver on the most necessary of areas – how well and consistently it cuts hair. Let my purchase serve as a warning to others, sometimes the old and tried method works just fine and does not need to be improved on. Maybe 3.0 will fix these problems but until then I recommend you stay away.
BEST THING I EVER BOUGHT don’t read the 1 star reviews, I just used it for the first time and i would like to say that is the best purchase i have ever made, no cuts whatsoever and did a really great job in getting in them groves, if you do it the correct way you shouldn’t get cut. a little side note i would like to add is don’t be scared because i sure was of getting cut
The Manscaped version 3.0 shaver works well wet or dry. High-tech, good grip & fast charge. Popular with athletes in hockey, boxing, MMA, rugby, lacrosse, wrestling, running, free weights, swimming & diving to keep chest or areas below shaved or well-trimmed for sports. Shave chest & mid-section with same speed & pressure as a face shaver. Use scissors to trim long hairs first. Practice-shave groin using the guards. Do maintenance shaving without guards down to smooth skin or hair-length-length wanted keeping skin flat as you shave. Read instructions. If nicked or if acne accidentally bleeds, stop it by dipping a styptic pencil (Amazon) in water & apply tip to area a few seconds. MEN’S SPORTS GEAR: Wear a traditional jock+cup for contact sports like boxing, football, hockey, MMA, lacrosse, rugby & soccer. A Tonus suspensory jock is worm for non-contact sports. It supports & protects your balls better than a traditional jock or compression shorts. Simpler, cooler, drier. Worn under shorts in basketball, volleyball, free weights & gym, cross-training, running, track & field, squash, tennis & racquetball; also worn under gear for menâs cycling, spinning, yoga, soccer (if no jock+cup on hand), climbing, skating, skiing & snowboarding. The Tonus suspensory jockâs front opening makes it easy to take a quick pee in between sports, workouts & outdoor sports. No leg-straps, avoids chafing inner legs. Best fit, by pouch, for most guys is small. Sometimes out-of-stock. Waistband adjusts easy, trim excess length. If active in sports, keep a couple extra shirts, socks & jocks in your locker.
Wow I have used several product like this one over the years but nothing as good as this. The battery life is outstanding, there is ver little chance of nicking the skin if you use it correctly. Its easy to clean and the ergonomic shape is perfect to reach most places. Highly recommend this product five stars
