Really is Lightweight and easy to setup/take down
After looking through listings for as many features as possible in a “backpacking, lightweight, waterproof, 1 person, 4 season” tent, that is more rectangle than square, I decided to try this MC Backpacking 1 person tent, as it is also a really good price and very highly rated. The 2 reviews I liked best were the one about using this in very stormy conditions and staying dry, and the other about not needing to stake it at the corners if your camp spot doesn’t have that option. So I set it up in my living room just to see how easy it is for one person to handle and if it would be a firm setup without stakes.Gotta love the shock corded invention. I had it up in under 5 minutes. Had to unclip and reclip a little to get the crossover correct. And then added the rain topper. It fits nicely and has ample room on each strap to tighten it down at the corners, plus loops to stake it if you can.Has a rectangular screen bag that you hang inside from toggles attached to the ceiling. Plenty of room for an inflatable backpacking pad and down sleeping bag + room to put my backpack beside my feet. Also folds up beautifully with all the poles, stakes, rain topper, etc. and rolls right up to fit back in its stuff sack.So glad I purchased this.

Great Tent – kept this one, returned other brands
My son ordered three tents with the intent to keep the best one for a Scout backpacking trek. He kept this one & said it was a hands down, easy pick.Of the tents we tried, this tent was the lightest tent, felt the most durable (especially the fly and the bathtub bottom), was easiest setup, and had a surprising amount of space inside. It easily fit him, his sleeping bag and pad, and his backpacking pack fit width-wise at his feet as well. The tent has a mesh top covered by the fly, which will help on hot nights. Vestibule was small, but none of the tents we ordered had a bigger one. We’re keeping this tent for his trek, returning the other 2.Tents reviewed:#1 – MC TOMOUNT 1-person#2 – Artic Lemmings 7.2x4x4′ tent#3 – Clostnature Crux 1-person

This is NOT a true 4 season tent 3-4 early fall only.
Like others this tent pegged out correctly for wind held up without ripping or tearing. I do think that the poles should be a bit better Al (too thin). I have not rain tested it, what’s rain? Room for 2 people and normal great. I would NOT consider this a LIGHT tent for backpacking 8.5 lbs will wear you down, but it does make for a good vehicle tent. There are no side pockets in the tent just a net for the inside top. The zippers from what I could determine are NOT YKK, but they did work fine. I would also use a ground sheet with it, the floor is a bit thin. Condensation could not be determined without a good rain event. I like it for the price. Easy put up. I changed out the pegs for better ones, just me.

Nice tent.
Didn’t come with a “footprint “ or tarp to set it on like most tents do. I have had other tents and they all came with one. Other than that it is exactly what I hoped for. Easy to put up, light and waterproof, good zippers.

Probably a 3 season tent
Used it for a backpacking trip in Yosemite, held out very well. Probabllyyyy a 3 season tent but I stay in during the winter anyways.Brought my own floor tarp to be safe. The extra ceiling space/height was awesome. Overall a great tent and even better for the price!

Field environment
Have used during multiple military training exercises, high wind environments, and on mountains. Very durable, zippers work great, fairly light weight for backpacking, can fit 2 adults snuggly

You get what you pay for
Fair little tent in all. Easy enough to assemble solo. First time out of the box some threads started unraveling on the seams of the zipper, I’ll fix those and keep it as a spare I guess. If you’re looking for something to get some real use out of spend more money and get something reliable.

Excellent Single Person Meditation Tent – Improved Design and Outstanding Warranty Support
I wanted to share my continued positive experience with the single-person meditation tent, having recently replaced my original one through the warranty protection provided by Asurion. The design of this tent remains impressive. With the right techniques, a footprint underneath, and proper care, I am highly confident in this tent’s ability to provide shelter throughout various seasons and storms. When fastening the ties inside the outer layer, it’s crucial to do so gently to prevent any risk of tearing them off. Additionally, for optimal performance, utilize the inside pockets on either side of the entry and handle the cargo netting and hook with care during roll-up to avoid mishaps. Remember to remove the hanging cargo net before rolling up, and avoid dragging with pressure, utilizing the footprint to protect the material during this process.Applying weatherproofing sealant or spray before the sixth month is advisable, ensuring continued protection and addressing any potential discoloration after prolonged use. The thoughtfulness of soft zipper pulls and curved plastic attachment pieces enhances the overall user experience.Asurion’s warranty support deserves commendation for its top-notch customer care and service, adding significant value to this tent. The peace of mind in knowing I can rely on them for support is invaluable. This single-person meditation tent not only offers a comfortable space for individuals up to 6’2″ but also stands out as a durable and reliable choice for nightly use in various situations.

I have inspected / set up the tent and it appears to be as advertised. It was very easy / quick to set up. I have not yet tested it for being waterproof. I believe someone posted that it had two doors, but this 1 person tent has only 1 door. The floor is a thin material … other tents I have owned had a heavier tarp like floor … I believe I will using a ground sheet (not included) under this one. I’m 6’2″ and have a 83″ sleeping bag that almost fills the tent so there isn’t a lot of room for extra stuff. I haven’t yet tried to pound the pegs into hard ground but they do seem a bit light and might need to be replace by something more heavy duty. Overall, at this point, I would still buy it again.
