Men’s Crestwood Waterproof Hiking Shoe

Update 12/6/23: I purchased the Columbia Men’s Crestwood Hiking shoe, in “Mud/Squash”, over two and a half years ago and they have been very good shoes. I did have one little tear in the mesh, about the size of a pea, directly where it joins the black toe guard. It never grew in size and I wore these shoes several times a week over the years doing various activities in them. They always looked good but were showing a little wear on the soles……so, I bought another pair in grey and I am very pleased with them. I will continue to use the old pair to work around the house and will wear the new ones for daily wear away from home. So, do I like them? I DID buy another pair after wearing my first pair for over 2.5 years! Yes…..I am very pleased with these shoes and the service they have given me!I purchased the Columbia Men’s Crestwood Waterproof Hiking Shoe in a size 13 wide in the “Mud/Squash” color! I was a little hesitant to purchase these on-line, since most shoes (sneakers/hiking) I purchase seem to run somewhat small! Before purchasing, I had my foot measured at a shoe store and it was a 12.5 men’s US length. So, after reading reviews stating the size was accurate, I ordered the 13 Wides. I have had them for about 3 weeks and they are just great! The size (13) fits very comfortably and correctly on my foot and they are “cushy” and easy to walk in. I like the way the shoes look and feel on my feet. They are waterproof and have a label on each shoe’s outer side, stating “Waterproof”. The toe “kick” is made of rubber and wraps around the toe of each shoe. The soles feel like they are rubber too. I primarily purchased them for walking, but will use them for some hiking too! So far, I am very pleased with the look and feel of these shoes!The one criticism I have of the shoes it the arch is not quite high enough for me. I have flat feet and would have enjoyed having a little more arch support in each shoe, but I can always add a little more arch support if it becomes a problem. I usually purchase the 13M’s, but I went with the 13W and am glad I did!So far, I am pleased with the look, feel (arch support could have been more pronounced), and sturdiness of the shoe! The only thing I can’t tell you yet, is about the durability of the shoe. But time will tell…..and so will I if they don’t meet my expectations!

Good shoe for light hiking that I do daily.
I ordered a size 9, mt normal size, and had to return it. The 9 and 1/2 fits well. Constructions seems good and the shoe fits comfortably. Only had them for a couple weeks so time will tell how they wear. My other Columbia boots have been durable.

Very Comfortable So Far
I purchased these to replace a set of Merrell shoes I was using for a year straight. In the winter I wear my Red Wing boots and in the summer traditionally I wore a steel or composite toe shoe.The place I work now does not require a safety toe and I decided to try these Columbia shoes as I use a great deal of Columbia gear. The environment and situations in which I work can be extremely hard on shoes so the expectations were low to moderate given the price point.I’ve had these a little over three months and they’re holding up pretty dang well and they have great traction in most situations. The water resistance has proven to keep my feet dry and I’ve put hundreds of miles on these.My only complaint is right out of the box the left shoe had a creak to them. It’s never went away and for that I’ve deducted a star.I do recommend these especially for individuals working outdoors with high regularity.

Comfortable for my 12 hour shift
These are more comfortable than my Sketchers. I work 12 hr. shifts and constantly walk on concrete floors and these are the most comfortable shoes I’ve tried. Better than my Sketchers and Under Armour sneakers.
