You have to pierce it if you have a thinner waist. I wear a 29 waist size and the premade holes are NOTHING near where I wear my belt. You have to pierce it which is a downside for me. Good belt quality and color though!
Yep, I’m likin’ my new vegan leather belt I haven’t worn a leather belt for probably 45 years, and have never had a vegan leather belt; this one is my first. And I really like it much more than the nylon belts I’ve been wearing since my stomach began expanding over a decade ago.I like the classic light brown color, and the ‘satin’ finish; it matches a lot of the wooden fixtures in my house. Although the belt came wrapped in plastic, and rolled up, it arrived with several indentations. Most people would look at them and call them scratches, but the surface of the belt was not scraped or marred in any way. But there are these long, irregular shallow indentations all along the surface. Because all of the scratches run lengthwise along the length of the belt, I must assume that they were created during the belt-making process. To me, they only enhance the belt and make it feel more used and rustic, like the faded pleats and folds one gets in their jeans after several years of wear. These days people pay extra to get the “distressed” look. I won’t comment on their intelligence, but let’s just say that the belt surface is not pristine. That said, while the vegan leather has grooves, the ‘satiny’ finish of the belt is pristine, and very even in appearance, and even appears durable, as it was apparently laid over the already grooved surface. In a practical sense, nobody is really going to notice these shallow grooves except you when you put on the belt. Once on, the grooves tend to become invisible. The inside of the belt does not have the ‘satin’ sheen of the outer belt, but is lighter brown and looks and feels a bit like suede. Curiously, there were no grooves or indentations on the inside of the belt. While the front and back are brown, the edges (top and bottom) are black. It is as if the bulk of the vegan leather is originally black in color, and the brown of the front and back were overlaid onto the black. That’s my guess. The black gives the belt a rather unique, stylish look. The belt buckle is a slightly darkened metal, making it less shiny and giving it a more rustic feel. It is smooth, well crafted, and very easy to use.The belt came with a belt hole punch tool, that you hit with a hammer to punch out new holes on the belt. I ordered a size larger than I needed because I was afraid of getting a belt that was too small. Consequently, I needed to punch a hole or two. I put on the belt and marked where I wanted to punch the new hole, then took it off, laid the belt out on a scrap of wood and punched out the hole. I punched two holes; one to make sure may pants would stay up during the rigors of walking my dogs, and another about 1.25 inches further out, for when I’m relaxing on the couch.Afterward, I unceremoniously retired my nylon belts, and told them that I would see them again when I need to crawl under the house the next time the crawlspace floods.
Nostalgic Scent, Modern Make Upon first receiving the Men’s faux leather dress belt, the potent scent of leather immediately struck me, reminiscent of childhood visits to leather shops in Mexico. This was surprising, given that the belt is crafted from faux leather, not genuine hide. The belt is notably smooth and slender, making it an excellent accessory for dress slacks. However, its delicate build is less suited for the ruggedness required by jeans. The material, while sleek, feels stretchy, suggesting that it might not endure the rigors of daily use without showing signs of wear. Additionally, it’s important to note that sizing runs small; you should consider sizing up one to two sizes for a proper fit. This belt is ideal for occasional use in formal settings rather than a staple for everyday wear. While the nostalgic aroma and polished look are appealing, the belt’s durability and sizing issues could concern those seeking a more robust and accurately fitting accessory.
Standard belt for dress or play! If you need a standard belt for jeans or pants, I highly recommend this one. The leather is decent quality and the buckle is sturdy. The holes are evenly punched and there are a lot of them, so perfect if youâre losing weight or gaining and fluctuating.
A little short for the size but a good belt. I will get the negatives out of the way first.1. It is a little short, so aim 2 inches up on your size. If your waist size is a 36″, get a 38″.2. I do not mind vegan leather, but the quality is suspect and I am not sure if it will last very long. Now for the positives.1. Solid buckle2. Looks great3. May not last the test of time, but it is good value for the money. In this case it is not spectacular or horrible, but it is a good belt for the money. Can you do better in the world of belts? Yes. But you will pay more. If you are on a budget and need a good belt, this will get the job done and look better than the budget belts in big box stores where the staff wears blue vests and check your receipt as you leave.
Strong and sturdy This belt is made of excellent quality. It is sturdy, strong, and fits well. This belt compliments a dressed up look and if you choose to dress down. I would buy more from this seller.
A pretty nice belt for fake leather. The fake leather is a bit sticky, which only really rears its head at the loop behind the buckle. It can be a pain to get the belt to slide in and through. The buckle feels fine. It’s not one of the sturdiest I’ve owned, but it’s also not the worst. This comes with a tiny number of holes for a belt this size, but it also comes with a punch. A hammer and some wriggling later, and the hole is basically perfect for my waist, if a ways apart from the rest. (I took their advice and ordered my measured waist +2 and it was significantly too long. Depending on my posture, my waist shifts around, though.)Tip: If you are using the punch, come from the front to the back.Looks pretty sharp and now fits beautifully.
