Your phone stays in its case; only grip that does this.
Congrats to MOVO. brilliantly thought out, very versatile and solid. inspires confidence. Also, the only one I found which accommodates a phone in its case; a rather big deal for most users. Myself included. Hard to find though, page 5 or 6 if I recall, glad I didn’t give up at page 4. A suggestion: a grippier knob would be nice.

Simple and effective
This is a mix of metal and plastic. It feels well constructed. I am a bit concerned about the size of the gripping mechanism bolt. If it fails it will probably be from that. It is comfortable to hold and easy to use. It can be adjusted to put the shutter button right under the thumb. The strap is sturdy. I gave a low score for versatility because it only goes on one way and does one function, it’s a less useful question for a device like this. It can be used left or right handed. It is a great device for taking high quality and stable pictures using a smartphone.

Point & Shoot One Handed
First of all, I need to say that I am a 74 year old man with large hands. One of my concerns was holding my iPhone and not dropping it when I take a picture, both in the vertical and horizontal positions. While it wasn’t really that difficult, I wanted something easier as the large hands and slim phone was an issue that was going to happen, maybe not a lot but certainly sometimes.
I was initially looking for was a pistol style grip that I could just point and shoot in both vertical and horizontal positions by just a wrist change. While I did not find the pistol style holder I looked for a device that I could adapt and this is pretty close. It fits my large iPhone with plenty of rooms to spare and I can easily reach the shutter button on the phone with my thumb. However, I also need to say that I have large hands so a person with smaller hands might have an issue reaching the button with their thumb.
I did find two issues, at least for me, that I needed to overcome. The first was the hand grip on the device is very smooth. If it had a bit more texture, it would be easier to hold. Not a game changer for me as I simply tightened up the strap around my wrist. For additional stability, I added a Sunmns Camera & Tripod Adapter and just used a part of it to extend the grip as you can see from the photo. I wrap my index finger around the attachment and point and shoot.
Since I am right handed I will probably use my left hand to take the pictures. With this setup, I can easily shoot in any position and can easily add a small tripod to the bottom for selfies with my wife and I. I no longer worry about losing the camera and when not in use, I simply slide the camera between my belt and shirt.
By the way, I am sure that most people who are younger probably doesn’t need to adapt the MOVO in this way, but I will still highly recommend the device. I find it helps me to quickly point and shoot a picture and is easy to hold. Until something else better comes along like a version with a pistol grip, this is my go to device when on vacation and out of the car knowing I will take a lot of pictures in a short period of time.
Also, the quality of the device appears to be very good. I would have given it 5 stars except for the smooth handles and the need for a little extra holding position.

Good for vlogging!
The clamps adjustments is great, very secure. Unlike those spring clamps. Has cold shoe mount for mic or light, and the holes for attaching to a tripod. Also has a wrist strap for security. Overall a good product.

Grip allows easy access to on screen shutter button
Movo PR-1 Smartphone Grip seems to be well made with understated smart appearance. Held my Samsung A32 5G with Tech21 slim style case securely. Made it easy to steady phone for photos and video. Wrist strap adjusts for snug fit to prevent me from dropping phone overboard while on a cruise ship. I held the grip out beyond my balcony rail without fear. Other review said the shaft bends but I did not see any bending. Instead, a slight angle between the sleeve and inner adjustable extension is visible upon close inspection when the grip is tightened down on the phone due to gap tolerance between the parts.

Really great quality
Really great quality, with some heft and a nice design. The cold shoe mount is a huge plus, and the 3 mounting screws and detachable hand grip makes it versatile. This is a wind-up clamp, as opposed to a spring clamp, which I actually prefer — you twist the knob on top to raise the upper clamp, so it makes getting the phone in and out a breeze (just a little twist to loosen and slip the phone out, then slip the phone back in and a little twist to tighten). The top part gets a little wobbly when it’s extended for a larger phone, but it’s completely stable and secure when your phone is clamped in. Fantastic.

So close to the perfect smartphone grip, you’re going to love it… and use it often!
First off, what stands out most about this grip is the THREE 1/4 x 20 (one quarter by 20 threads per inch) female mounts for tripods, lights, microphones, etc. – WOW! But wait, there’s more – it also has a hotshoe mount as well. And that’s where picky me takes off a tad for hotshoe devices that don’t have a screw-down assembly that will tighten the device to the grip’s hotshoe like a DSLR camera (the grip’s slide-in opening isn’t snug at all, so the device will easily slip out and fall without preventative measures). Otherwise, it’s well build for the price and the lanyard with the counterweight is also a thoughtful addition. And the opening jaw is VERY generous, accepting an iPhone 6+ in a case and still have an inch left over for an even bigger smartphone.

After much searching, I chose this to mount my phone on a tripod I bought some time ago. Works brilliantly and as a bonus, is great for filming our and about. It leaves one hand free to zoom etc whilst still maintaining shake free filming. Adjustment should mean that it’ll fit most phones. Would definitely recommend!

Un bon poignée pour Smartphone, très solide

The build quality is high and can withstand relatively careless usage. Took this travelling with me and had some rough rides but this product survived them all! I paired this with a boom mic and the complete rig was perfect for vlogging with a smartphone.
