Professional Grade Appliance Compared to What I Used to Own
I admit I was cheap about buying mixers in the past. Whatever 500-600 watt model was $20 at the local “Mall”-mart is what I would buy. Then I’d be back the next year for another one because a year is about all they would last. Mostly I’d burn out their motors but I also had a few blade spindles break. This year I talked myself into this Ninja 1500 watt baby and I was not disappointed. It came with blender pitcher, food processor bowl, and two drink cups. In addition to the blade spindles for the pitcher and the food processor, their is also a dough hook making this a very versatile use package bundle. The first time I used this I was in awe at how much power it has compared to my $20 specials of the past. This crushes ice like nothing I’ve ever seen and in almost no time at all. In fact it’s so powerful they had to put suction cups at the bottom of the base to keep it from skating off the counter or table when you run it. I used the timer button setting (60 seconds) to blend a salsa and I was impressed at how smooth and chunk-less it came out.The food processor is just as powerful since it uses the same powered base. I can take a whole pork loin (or other boneless meat) and cut it up into 3″ sections and this bad boy will give you a nice ground texture in no time. Switch to the dough hook and make cookie dough, bread dough, pizza dough, etc.Cleaning isn’t really any harder than any other food processor or blender that I’ve owned. Do be careful of the blades though as they are capable of cutting you deep enough to require a trip to the emergency room if you aren’t careful. They are dishwasher safe.I don’t mind that the containers are plastic. They are a much sturdier plastic than those on my old $20 specials. I worry a bit about nicking or cracking them by accidental handling especially if washing by hand. They can be a bit bulky in the sink and it’s easy to crash them into other things just moving them around if you aren’t careful. No issues with this so far though. So if you are in the market for a blender and a food processor, I highly recommend this bundle. If you like to make smoothies too, then the blender drink cups are a bonus.

Convenient, easy to clean, and works fantastic!
We liked our previous Ninja, a little blender setup with a top motor. So when I wanted to start making smoothies every day and maybe do some baking that required a food processor, I decided this might be a good fit.I’ve been using it almost every day for months to make smoothies for lunch, and I love it! I make sure to layer my ingredients the way the directions say to, screw on the blade, lock it in the base, pick a setting, and let it do it’s thing!I love that it has settings specifically programmed with pauses to let your ingredients settle. I use the smoothy setting if I have soft ingredients, and the extract setting if I have harder ingredients like carrots, kale, or ice. Almost every time, I get a perfectly pulverized drink. Rarely has there been a chunk of fruit or something in the bottom. Like, maybe twice. The blender and food processor have worked well when I’ve used them, too. They’re easy to clean IF you rinse them out right away! Just like any dish, if you let food sit there and mummify on it, you’re going to have issues – even more so with these, because the cap threads are inside the cups. Even if that happens, though, it’s still fairly easy to remove the gunk with a cleaning brush.I am a very happy customer!

More counter top space
This thing is awesome! I’ve been able test out all three attachments so I’ll review them separately and provide a overall review.Blender cup:Easy to fill assemble and use. Easy to clean blades and cups. Blades are nice and tough they cut through frozen and fresh fruit and veggies like a hot knife through butter. I do have to reblend from time to time if the frozen items get a bit clumpy but this is not a fault in the device.Blender:Nice sharp blades that go through ice without a thought. Even and smooth blending.Food processor:Good size bowl 8 cups! I’ve used this to cut butter into flour for biscuits and it did a great job. I preferred the actual bladed insert over the dough blade for this though. I have also used the dough blade/setting for muffin batter and was a bit underwhelmed. The bladed insert had no trouble grinding beef chunks to a good textured ground. Went through carrots without care. Super sharp and the multiple levels of blade speed up the process. That said the lid needs a chute so you can add ingredients as you mix/blend/chop. I do find this a bit annoying to have to pop the lid off everytime I want to add more to the bowl. This was the most annoying when using the processor’s dough function, you end up with flour everywhere if you don’t give it a few taps and shakes as you remove the lid. If they sell or sold an additional lid with the chute I’ll be ordering one.Overall:This machine is very well made and well thought out, most everything makes sense. Ninja thought about the consumer would actually use the appliance when preparing food. I do wish some that same thought had been applied to the process of cleaning and maintaining the different components. There are lots of nooks and crannies on the underside of the processor and blender attachments as well as the lids so hand washing is a must. The blades are also super sharp so that adds an extra bit of challenge. This is probably one of the louder small appliances I own but that doesn’t bother me but it could be a con if you live in an apartment.I enjoy all of the preprogrammed settings they make sense and add some ease of use to the appliance as a whole. This thing is nice, it has replaced three appliances that I use regularly but had to store and lug out if I wanted to blend a single smoothie or a whole pitcher. The extra parts now sit it the cabinet where the blender and smoothie blender used to be. Now it’s just a matter of changing the top attachment and not having to lug out a heavy small appliance when I want to make a certain thing.

Love it
We use this way more often than we thought we would. It is really loud… Our 4 month old hates it and cries so we have to take her out the room. That said, it has lots of power and makes great smoothies. The single serve cups are so convenient! The food processor works well too, though my wife said not quite as good as her old food processor but still happy with it. Mixing cookie dough was a new feature for her and it worked much better than expected.
