Reebok Men’s Walk Ultra 7 DMX Max Shoe

True to Its Legacy
My last 5 sneakers have been Reebock Walks dating back to the 1990’s. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. My latest pair is just as good. No, they’re not orange, or red, heads don’t turn when I walk by, but then I didn’t spend $150 for a swoosh mark or a big capital letter. If you want a quality comfortable sneaker that is comfortable to walk in and will hold up over many miles, this is a great choice. If you like to blow a lot of money on sneakers to show off, this is not the baby.

Loud shoe
First, I think this is a decent shoe and a lot depends on your expectation. The most prominent consideration is that this is a structurally solid sole, and it doesn’t flex with your foot the way a soft-sole new balance or skecher will – and it won’t wear out as fast, either. Because of this characteristic, this shoe is loud on my hardwood and ceramic floors, and on the brick walkway outdoors.The orthotic value is that the support on the inside of this shoe also comes from the sole – the memory foam is for cushioning, it is not orthotic. The sole and heel (see next) permit a little pronation. (This I found acceptable, even comfortable.)The heel construction is more like a running shoe than a walking shoe – it’s rounded – but it stabilizes quickly and will settle depending on where your foot naturally wants to go. I use heel-lock lacing, which positions and holds the foot firmly in place without wandering.The fit is as true to size, but it is snug in width and there is no room above to accommodate an orthotic. Though I find it a little grippy on my D-regular width, it does stabilize the foot overall.Outside of the stiffness of the shoe (and resulting loudness on hard floors), I can see why many reviewers consider this an all day shoe. I found that its design departures from my usual new balance-type shoe to be striking, I can appreciate what the Reebok designers have engineered into this shoe.

It is now June 25, and one of my shoes has a dip in the bottom—where the ball of my foot goes. Two days ago, I noticed a squeaking noise on my left shoe; when I was walking. Today I looked, and I noticed a big dip in the bottom. I, at first, thought the noise would go away, but now I realize it ain’t going nowhere.I know for sure, I did not wear the shoes for one month, so I actually only got about three months of use.I bought a pair of Reebok walking shoes around 20 years ago, and I thought they were the best walking shoes that I ever had. In fact, they were so good, I bought another pair.20 years past, and one day I remember those shoes. As a result, I decided to buy one black pair of DMX Reebok walking shoes and one white pair— on February 11, 2024. Do you know that saying that we’ve all heard several times in our life, “ I guess they don’t make them like they used to.“ I’ll let this be a life lesson, because they really don’t make them like they used to. The second lesson is to read and trust the one star reviews before buying any product.Peace and love!P. S.I hope this 1 star review helps you make the right choice. Don’t waste your hard earned money, because the Reebok DMX MAX Moving Air walking shoe doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I only gave the shoe one star because I had to in order to leave a review.
