Well made product that does an amazing job
I’ve tried a lot of knife sharpeners over the years and this here is a good one. Rub a little oil on the sides when you sharpen you knife and it will come out beautiful and sharp. Dangerously sharp if you’re not careful. Only drawback and not worth downgrading the rating is it does not work with narrow bladed, or very small blades, like a filet knife or small swiss pocket knife. It works very well on the other knifes in your kitchen.

New way to sharpen my knives and at a great price
I’ve been looking at these types of products for a while… when they first came out the price was at least double what I bought this for. I have a collection of high-end knives and I like to keep them as sharp as possible. As the saying goes the most dangerous tool in the kitchen is a dull knife. This works well and I like how heavy the wheel is. Feels great to use. The key to sharpening a knife is holding the correct angle and holding it consistently. The magnetic block lets you do that. I’ve done the wet stone thing and other gadgets as well as the electric grinder. The Electric grinder takes off too much. The wet stone is not only messy you also have to know how to keep the correct angle. This product is simple and easy to use. love it.

Sharp knives are better
I’ve been with out sharp knives for about 6 months. This a great replacement for my lost stones. One drawback is the difficulty of sharpening smaller knives like the pairing and small pocket knives. Otherwise it’s quick and easy.

Nice and sharp
I’ve been using this sharpener for a few weeks now, and I’m very impressed with how well it works. My knives are now much sharper than they were before, and they cut through food effortlessly. I also appreciate that the sharpener is easy to clean and store.

There’s easier ways to sharpen knives
Bought this product, used it for the first time, it did the job alright but I’ve used other sharpeners that were easier. This is not a bad product, it works an industrial diamond surface, it just takes care to do it right. It did sharpen the knives very well, but it just seemed tedious.

Great product for beginners
I must say I am thoroughly impressed with this knife sharpener. Having previously used the traditional steel rod to sharpen my knives, i found that while it worked in a pinch, it often left my blades with dings and dulled them over time. This product, however, has been a game changer!I purchased this sharpner for two main reasons: the affordable price point and the inctedible ease of use. Setting it up was a breeze – no water required like a whetstone – and cleanup was equally simple. I was always hesitant to buy a whetstone because never sure what to keep a steady angle, but with the magnetic block it made this easy to manage. It’s perfect for anyone, especially beginners, looking for a reliable and user- friendly solution to keep their kives in top shape. Highly recommend!

It Works And Has 4 Sharpening Angles
Most other rolling sharpeners only offer 2 sharpening angles, typically 15 and 20 degrees. Great, except to sharpen most Asian knives you need a 10 or 12 degree blade angle. Which I have seen offered for a mere $40 upcharge. Folks, it’s a 4-sided square of hardwood cut with 12, 15, 20, and 25 degree sides to which are attached four strips of magnetic tape. I could make one in my shop in about 15 minutes. That’s what this offers from the start. I also like the way the barrel is turned. The important point is, however, that it works, really well. Better than an electric sharpener, better than stones, better than those bench mounted jigs with rods that are just plain clumsy. There are a couple tricks you learn – you need a book or similar for tall blades, and you need to be careful not to flex the blade with too much pressure, especially at the tip. Other than that, roll one side, then the other, then switch to the finer honing side. I also use a ceramic stick for any final cleanup of the burr, although a leather strop would probably work as well or better. My only caveat is to take your time. It will take maybe 25-50 passes on each side if the blade is still in decent shape, but working out any serious damage or nicks will take some time, like 10-15 minutes on each side. But, the results are worth it. Very highly recommended.
