5 reviews for ROYDX Pots & Pans Set-27 Pcs Stainless Steel Kitchen Cookware Set,Foldable Frying Pan Stockpot with Forks Spoons Travel Bag for Campfire Hiking,Barbecues,Beach Outdoor Picnic Camping Cooking Set
Very nice cookware set We specifically got this set for camping, and we’ve been very pleased with it. The listing says it can be used for hiking, but way to big and heavy in my opinion, unless you have a mule to carry it for you.Anyway, we do a lot of camping in the Summer and early Fall months, and previously we’ve been using run of the mill pots and pans that you get from the big box stores. This by far is nicer than anything else we’ve ever owned. It’s a decent sized set and packs up nicely in the provided bag. For our needs camping at improved campgrounds this works well. If we were camping like we did a long time ago, this would be too bulky to camp off grid since we’d have to pack it in. So in my opinion, camping at a campground you can drive up to, rv’ing, tailgating and things like that this would be perfect for.If I had to pick apart one thing, it would be the forks and spoons. They are very functional, but not the most durable in my opinion.Overall, we’re very happy with this set. Easy to clean up and pack away, and has taken some abuse while camping and not a dent or scratch on them. In my opinion it’s worthy of 5 stars, but that’s because I’m comparing it to our old camping pots and pans that scratch and dent after a bit of use. This set I expect to last many years, and may be the last set we ever get for camping. Another nice thing about this is that it’s packed up nicely in the provided sack. If we ever have to bug out we can grab it and go so we have some cookware to use. At this time, I definitely recommend it.
A pretty good dining set for camping or mobility Bottom line: A pretty good dining set for camping or mobility.Pros:⢠Fairly complete (minus knives)⢠Pot and pan usable at home⢠Reasonably thick stainless steelCons:⢠Doesnât include any knives⢠Flatware needlessly folds⢠Carrying pouch is genericThe set includes the following: 4x plastic dinner plates, 4x expandable cups with lids, 4x plastic bowls, 4x foldable forks and spoons, 2x stove mitts, 1x stainless steel lid, 1x pot, 1x pan, 1x folding spatula, and 1x carrying pouch.Itâs meant for camping or other mobility-oriented activity due to its compactness. Even so, the pot and pan especially can be used for home use. Specifically, the pot and pan in particular are constructed as comparable to regular home cookware, minus a typical handle. In this case, the handles are made of stainless steel, and they fold into the vessel for compactness. On a related note, the handles will conduct heat, especially if theyâre folded against the vessel. Thus, including a pair of stove mitts makes sense and adds thoughtful value to the set.The utensils are usable, but they fold in a needless way. The utensils are already pretty compact, so enabling them to fold doesnât add substantially to their compactness. Also, due to the hinges, theyâre not particularly comfortable to hold in the hand. The hinges also make them harder to clean.A particular shortcoming is the set doesnât include any knives. Perhaps the designers attempted to ponder how to fold a knife, and that the proposed result wasnât that usable. So, either they could include non-folding knives (which would have stood out from the other folding flatware), or not include them altogether. Whatever the thinking, no knives are a result, to the setâs detriment. Moreover, the set could have included a case for the (non-folding) flatware for a little additional cost. It would have been a nice, thoughtful touch for a fairly well-designed cookware set.The plates and bowls are a little small. Together, theyâre not enough to accommodate a meal, so taking multiple trips back to the pot or panâs contents would probably be required. All of the kitâs contents fit easily into the included pot, even with the lid on top. The entire kit, loaded into the pot, fits very easily into the included bag, which is structured like a little backpack, with a drawstring enclosing it. The bag is large enough that it can fit some other small items (like knives). At USD $99.98, the set isnât particularly a bargain. At that price, itâs more expensive than alternatives. However, at the time of this review, there was a USD $30 coupon, placing the set much more in line with its competition (and thus its âtruerâ value).Accordingly, despite its minor drawbacks, the set is recommended.
This is an epic camp cookware set. We’re beginners in the world of camping and probably went overboard, but this set has pretty much everything i could think of to prepare a great meal on our rocket stove or a campfire. The Pots and pans are stainless so it’s easy to clean and are pretty durable. The entire kit fits in the included bag so you can pack it away and take the entire kit at once.Overall i’m really impressed with this set
Good quality but heavy camping set missing some expected integration Received everything as expected. However, didn’t expect the weight! The two pots are solid, but that means HEAVY. The included bag is of ok quality and is a backpack, but if you plan to REALLY camp with this, you might want to look for something lighter weight. However, as an emergence cooking set, this will do what i need. The plates and bowls are some kind of plastic material and feel solid. The cups are… expandable cups, with all the plusses and minuses you’d expect. The cutlery will work, but is fiddly, there are better (inexpensive) solutions out there. The potholders are adorable, and should work, but I’d wager folks will still burn themselves with them on.My biggest disappointment, besides the weight, is that it’s not as compact and integrated as it could be. For instance, which not have the skillet be small enough to fit in the pot? Or have it with some kind of clicking mechanism to that it doesn’t just fall off the pot when attached outside? If you put the accessories in the pot, there is plenty of additional room, so why not include regular cutlery? I somehow expected this all to fit neatly in the pot with clever design to make sure to use minimum space. Instead, it’s a perfectly serviceable set that is just a bunch of items included together, but with only minimal thought to HOW they work together.Overall, I’m not going to replace it, but if I were to go camp hiking, or anything that required I actually carry this with me, I’d definitely find something lighter weight (probably aluminum) and more compact than this. That said, I am pleased with the quality of the pot and skillet. That’s partly a direct result of the weight. They are good enough that if you used them at home, nobody would blink an eye except for the skillet handle which folds (and doesn’t stay extended).
Perfect travel companion for family days out This set is perfect for camping or simply family days out.I prefer eating with actual silverware vs plastic ware so very attractive set for me that is worth its value considering its durability and portability.
