Excellent Product
Very easy to install and set up for home security system. Appearance is discreet. Picture quality is very clear. Sound is good when listening. Sound is a little low when speaking to someone thru the camera or sounding the alert but is still very effective.

Advice anyone to think twice before purchasing this product
I purchased the 4 pack and they were very easy to install and worked perfectly. Then about 6-8 months later 1 camera stopped working on its own, my wifi is perfect I have not changed wifi or password all is been the same since I made this purchase. I did report it and received a replacement, thanks to customer service. But.. then about 2-3 months later another camera goes out with the same problem. It says âit wonât connect to the wifiâ same as the first camera issue. So I report it Again and received another replacement, thanks again customer service. Then guess what.? About 2 months later another camera with the same issue. I got tired of calling customer service and cameras keep going out every couple months. So I will not call them back for another replacement because this is really getting ridiculous, so I just decided to never purchase these cameras again. Nothing against customer service, they were great but as far as for this camera brand.. one word says it all. âSUCK!!!!â

Camera’s are great. Supporting hardware and software not so much.
I got frustrated during the setup as I’m more a PC person than phone/Android person. When the instructions said to scan the QR code, I tried to scan the QR code on the body of the camera with my phone. Nope. On the 4th or 5th try, the camera started speaking. It then told me to place the QR code that appeared on my phone in front of the camera. Wallah! After that, easy peasy. I placed the camera’s in the interior as close to the exterior mounting points first as a test. My NightHawk R8500 router is approx 50ft+two stories away. They connected but one was quite weak and the video blinked on and off every 5 seconds. I wasn’t surprise as its quite far away; even for a 2.4Ghz signal. A signal analyzer phone app indicated my router signal was at 43% at both exterior locations. Since I’m a perfectionist, I now have a mesh router system on order. The entire power cord length is approx 9 ft max which is nice as I’m using soffit outlets. I was surprised to see electrical/sealing tape in the package. Smart. One disappointment is the Windows PC version of the Septekon app is very basic compared to the phone app. If all goes well with the mounting and new mesh network, I plan to get two more. The PC app at least allows for viewing 4 camera’s at once. Edit: I had to wedge the back of both mounting brackets to get the views I wanted from the camera. A notch in the swivel of the bracket to allow a flatter angle would be welcome. The PC software is tragic. If I download and install from Septekon as administrator, I often get what’s called a dioexception-host not recognized and a failed login. When attempting from the Microsoft store, the installer says its receiving info but after two hours; nothing. When it launches, there are 2 or 3 really aggravating bugs and eventually it quits working and I have to reboot. The last update to the software was in 2022. This is a huge disappointment to me and now I doubt I’ll get more camera’s unless I can figure out the login issue.

The quality of the resolution is shocking
I have recently been the victim of theft. I have ring cameras at my home but decided I need a few for around the shop an the property. Seen these on here an I thought what the hell if they are trash I can always send them back. I ordered a 4 pack just to try them. I opened the box an seen what I thought was a cheap made camera an thought well these are gonna be junk. Man was I shocked. The distance that these cameras cover is incredible. An the resolution well the pics speak for themselves. I am gonna install them tomorrow and get a better idea of them but I sit them around the shop and so far I give them 5 stars ð 𤩠â¨ï¸ no doubt. I seen some complaining about the 10 dollars a month for the cloud. I’m guessing you want it free. They are well worth the money. One thing that I am on the fence about is they do have to be plugged in the wall. They are not battery powered. But other than that I would highly recommend these.

UPDATE: Since writing this review I have been in contact with Septekon regarding the video stream dropping out every few days. Their responce has been excellent and they have made some suggestions to improve it which has reduced the frequency and they inform me that they are actively working on a firmware upgrade to permanently cure the problem. Their customer service has been excellent.
If you want a cheap simple camera to work from an app this is suitable, If you need a more complex setup this camera has some limitations as described below.
I run 6 ip cameras covering my property all displayed locally using ispy with remote access to them all using IPCamViwer on my iphone. When one camera failed I replaced it with the Septekon P30i camera.
The camera set up easily using the app on my iphone. There is no other way to set it up as there is no web access as is available on all my other cameras (various makes). The set up options are also very limited, e.g. you can not set a fixed ip address (if you need a fixed ip address as I do then you need to allocate the address at the router), there is no picture adjustments apart from rotate, you cannot remove the time/date display off the image. The app does show the two available rtsp URL’s (HD and SD) which allowed me to easily connect the camera to ispy and IPCamViewer.
The camera is wifi only (no ethernet connector), and only has a 5V connection power lead (the camera comes with a power adaptor and long lead). The picture is acceptable with the night vision better than my older cameras. The app works well on my iphone and sends me a notification if it views a person in my set window which would then allow me to go to the app to see who is there, however, there is a time delay of up to 30seconds which means that by the time the notification arrives the person has usually moved from my view. The image rotates with my iphone and can expand for a better view but on my android phone it does not rotate making it more difficult to view the image in permanent portrait mode.
The good bits are therefore: Price, picture quality, simplicity, wifi connection is good
Cons: In the week I have been using it the RTSP stream has locked out a few times even though the app image kept working and said the wifi connection was good. The only way to get a connection again is reboot the camera from the app or at its power supply.
If I connect to the camera using IPCamViwer on my phone it stops the image on ispy, ie I can only connect one device to the stream at once.

Works well, straightforward app.

Purchased to replace a wired camera that gave in to the relentless rain. Connecting it to WIFI was easy. I use NetcamStudio for CCTV recording, it took some effort to get the camera recognised, finally connected via RTSP with the details shown in the Septekon app, which is the best CCTV app I have used so far. I could not connect using the ONVIF settings. At first the camera seemed unreliable, but a couple of weeks down the line it is rock solid. Image quality is great. As ever you have to sort out extending the power connection in a weather-proof manner.

So far so good. The Septekon cameras are working fine and I am happy with them. Thanks
