Good Desk – Assembly Required, Experience Needed
This is a solid, very decent desk, if you are on a budget. You must use some common sense, while assembling, and previous experience assembling your tables and bookcases are extremely helpful.I purchased 2 of these, and I had VERY specific space requirements. These fit perfectly. One shipping box had all of the Styrofoam packing crushed, and I thought for sure, I was going to see damage. Delivery people get credit, no scratches, zero reasons to return.Couple of assembly tips:- Thread all screws (for each step) half-way before you tighten anything down. Most especially 4 screws on each leg.- Assemble the table on as flat of a surface as possible.- Line-up all 4 table squares, then tighten and align the ones on the long-ends FIRST. If you have extra hands, push the pieces towards each other while you are tightening. This will help you square-off and align all 4 table squares better.- After the 2 end pieces are tight, align and tighten the 2 middle ones. Obviously tapping might be required.- Some of the cross-supports PULL when you tighten the bolts on them. My opinion is that this table isn’t meant to be a $700 table, with zero gaps, completely flush if you run your hand over the table.- This table isn’t solid oak, but it does feel very sturdy, after I assembled 2 of them. Wood is veneered or whatever, but feels just fine. I have 2 monitors on 1 desk, and I try to wiggle the desk, and it doesn’t move.-If you are going to use this a lot every single day, I recommend that you get one of those silicone Edge Guards, for the end that you will spend all your time on.- I strongly recommend that you put the rubber corner guards on any places where traffic is possible (included in boxes).- Very decent product, I expect to get 5 years or more, with this being my full time work-from-home desk. Like I said, I would not expect to get 5 years out of the EDGE of the desk that my forearms are rubbing over all the time, so I have edge-guards coming.

*** BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR OWN SET OF ALLEN WRENCHES! THE ONE THAT COMES WITH THE DESK ARE TOO SMALL AND WILL NOT WORK**** This desk was for my husband to game on since his regular desk was not deep enough. This desk was perfect for him and is very sturdy and nice. It looks exactly how it does in the photos. My only complaint, like many others who have reviewed this desk, is the instructions that come with it. There are about 30 or so separate parts for the desk and the instructions are all on a single piece of paper and printed so small it’s hard to read. They are not very clear instructions either. We started a timer when we started building it and it took the two of us two and a half hours. That was expected since that’s what I seen other people saying it took them as well. I also recommend having your own set of Allen wrenches because the one that came with the desk was too small. If we had not had our own set we wouldn’t have been able to assemble it at all. I still give this desk 4 stars because after being put together it is exactly as pictured. It is a very nice heavy duty desk. Worth the price and effort

Better than IKEA imho
I was looking for a big desk for my office to replace an old thrift store desk I had been kicking around for years. I was very tempted to order or build one of those IKEA ideas or butcher block a countertop desk, because I wanted the big openness and depth. Eventually though, I settled on this desk due to the price and design. And I have to say, i am very impressed.The desk was a very good size when done, and the metal frame makes it solid and not cheap feeling. The top came in four pieces that I had to assemble together for the final size, and it required some space to setup, but in the end it was exactly as expected. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a permanent desk to update their office to go with this product. You will not be disappointed.

 Given up trying to assemble it with its annoying video instructions rather than a paper manual. Seems to be missing parts too. It looks likely in pieces but we only have an afternoon so the old desk is coming back and this gets puy in a storeroom, still in pieces. Video shows how painful it is when the manual is online.
