Van Heusen Mens Flex Flat Front Straight Fit Pant

Excellent Pants
My go-to pants for the last 5 years have been Levi Dockers Men’s Classic Fit Signature Khaki Lux Cotton Stretch Pants. I have about 15 pair and I cycle through them four times before I dry clean them – once every three months. Then I noticed that Amazon is selling Van Heusen pants for 25% lower price, $36 vs $50 for the Dockers, in a large variety of sizes including my size which is 40W x 34L. The Van Heusen pants are Poly/Rayon/Spandex vs. Cotton for the Dockers so I wasn’t sure how they would feel compared to the Dockers but, I thought I would give them a try. A few days later the pants arrived and the first thing I noticed is that to my surprise they came out of the plastic bag without a wrinkle. I also noticed that the interior of the pants are nicely finished with a red lining covering all the seams on the inside of the pants which you see typically in more expensive dress pants. Trying them on they fit perfectly around the waist and had some stretch to them. The button and clasp closure at the waist is nicely done and the pants have some extra belt loops compared to the Dockers. The material felt very light and comfortable compared to the stiffer heavier Dockers. The only downside thing I noticed is that for me they run a little long. So I returned them for one size shorter 40W x 32L which fit perfectly. So all in all these pants are not only a great value, but fit perfectly, are wrinkle resistant, and feel light and comfortable all day in the office. Time to retire the Dockers and replace them with Van Heusen.

These pants fit PERFECTLY… a bit tight in the crotch though.
I purchased these pants after seeing another person’s review saying that with their movement in inspecting airplanes they wore comfortably and did not disturb any precious merchandise ‘down there.’ I ordered my regular size and bought two pairs.The first pair sat well at the waist, length was good, not too tight around the thighs, didn’t slip down with regular movement, but I was disappointed that the amount of room in the basement didn’t meet my expectations. The second pair fit about the same, except that they did not exhibit as much lack of breathing room as the first pair did. The seat seam is stitched well with excess material provided to avoid wear, but the inseam to the leg where it meets the seat is single-stitched and starting to separate there, even in the more forgiving pair of pants. I would not expect these to last too much longer before the seam starts to fail. While this may sound like an underhanded way of bragging, I am of ‘average stature,’ so if you end up buying these pants you may also experience some ‘tight quarters.’ I would not wear these for any extended period of activity if I were to order them again, but they would pair well enough for business attire.

They fit a bit snug, which I like. They’re made of high quality materials, and they’re very stylish in my opinion.

I like these pants so much I cannot go back to the pants I was wearing previously. They are just very comfortable and a nice design. Thinking of buying a second pair.
