This thermal would be great for the fall and spring seasons when temperatures can swing widely throughout the day. There are times when you need a bit of thermal protection but you know if you are working or exercising outside you’ll get too hot in a long-sleeve base layer. The fit is comfortable and loose, not tight like in the product description. I typically wear a small in most everything and am slender like the model in the photos. My measurement falls in the Medium size range at 35″, and this top is loose, not snug at all. The flat underarm measurement is 18″, so even at the high end of the Medium size range, the top will stretch but will not be snug. I prefer loose, so this is perfect.
