The Greatest Support and Good Hardware
First of all the support is outstanding. I had a few questions and got help from several guys and a gal named Kiki. They always responded within the same day if not within minutes. Somehow Xega has managed to put together a support team that rivals any I have experienced. Now – for the hardware. I am using this to monitor my rural raw land 2000 miles away from where I live, while a driveway gets started and eventually a home build – this is in the mountains. I have yet to try it there but am going to next week. I know that Verizon is available on the road next to my property so we are only going to know if we get 4G signal after we get there and put it on a tree and try it out. To prepare for this I have tried this at home and it works great. If you are like me and are questioning all the steps involved in getting service from the SIM they provide, it is really simple and I would suggest using YouTube University for that. One question that support replied to was – how do I know the best service is where I am going? I was questioning if you had to buy T-Mobile or Verizon or ATT….its simple – when you buy your data plan you get all 3 and it selects the best one when you power on the hardware and hooks you to the right signal seamlessly. I paid about $80 for 6-GBytes of data. They referred to the plan as a 6 month plan but that is just because the average user goes through 10GB per month. I tried it and gauged my use by watching the video live and then logging off and looking at the data total you have left – easy to monitor. In the little time over 2-3 weeks just minimally testing triggers and live feed – I think it starts at 6.128GB and I am now at 5.997GB. Time is going to tell how much I use and if it triggers too often. That is the next subject – triggers. It has a setting of High-Med-Low. Even on low it was pretty trigger happy. Like my Blink it doesn’t have a way to set exclusion zones in the field of view – say like if a tree limb always blows and moves in the wind – there is no way to exclude that zone and if you have that issue then data is going to get wasted. The final thought that I already fed to Xega suuport team is the way it uses 4G data. I was told that any time you turn on that app it is using 4G data. I understand that if you are looking at a live feed or video on your SD memory or have to set options on the hardware because that data has to go over the air from your phone app to the hardware and return, but what if you just want to look at video or photos on the cloud? I might not have understood that right but that is how I interpreted what they told me. I might edit this again after I try it next week – now the hardware gets a 4 and support a 5 out of 5. /Update 12-16-23 – I’ve had this for 4 months at our mountain property and it has been awesome. The solar panel is keeping this thing running beautifully and the images are awesome – deer and squirrels and watching snow storms from 1800 miles away. I should have got 2 and put them up. Great value. And did I say the support was awesome.

Great camera, user manual could be better.
I originally left a harsh review but I was incorrect. The problem was with the Ubox app. The camera worked great at first but when I tried to add a second phone everything went dead. I wasted a lot of time trying to get the camera working. I finally deleted everything and gave up. I got a second identical camera and started afresh. When I installed the Ubox app the second time a brief message flashed saying they had fixed a bug that caused the app to crash when someone added a second cell phone. I have not tried to add a second cell phone yet. Everything is working great.
The camera is installed at our property gate a half mile from our house. The solar panel keeps the camera charged even in our very rainy weather. Itâs in a fairly sunny site. Itâs very sensitive. We had to aim the camera away from the county road because every car that went by set it off.
Now how does the signal get out? Version is clueless about 4G LTE cameras. They keep insisting we give them the IMEI number. These are for cell phones. Security cameras use ICCID numbers. The Ubox app allows one to set up cell service through eiotclub.com for a fee. This service uses AT&T, Verison, or T-Mobile which ever is available. We paid $14 for one month. Seems to work.
That takes care of cell service but what about the cloud? The Ubox app allows you to pay another monthly fee for unknown cloud storage. It turns out the camera is the cheapest part. Originally I was going to install multiple cell cameras but each one has to have a cell and a cloud subscription. So itâs Wi-Fi cameras closer to the house.
We have not done the cloud yet. The camera is by a public road. Itâs very easy to pull it off the mount. The SIM card goes with the camera. Do I have access to the only video that counts? Even if I have cloud service?
Anyhow the camera is great. Ubox is better than the Fred Meyer grocery shopping app. Not as good as the Walmart app and nowhere near the gold standard Home Depot and Amazon apps.

Terrible instructions and impossible to properly “test” in time to return!
The instructions are jibberish making use of the device a nightmare to comprehend. I cannot give the quality of video and night vision any appreciation because it has not been consistantly working. The provided trial on the cell access expired before I could get it mounted and start testing it; had to buy additional time to confirm it was working. Now that it is mounted I’ve discovered that it has lost signal to the degree that I will have to move it or just throw it in the trash. It keeps defaulting to a cloud storage setting though I put a TF in it which has been a constant aggravation since it loses signal and forces me to reconnect. Maybe the worst part is that FAQ is blank…that’s right, there is a section titled FAQ on the app but nothing there. I tried to contact support and that is a “we’ll get back to you later” endeavor. Yesterday I thought I had found a way to remove the Cloud Storage nuisance but instead it removed my device and now I will have to go back to its REMOTE location to reassociate it to the application. Overall it is not a savings but just a waste of more time and money!

It works great, but would be better if it could be used with wifi
Its great quality, the night vision isn’t the best, but the audio works fine, the visuals during the day is amazing and the app is very easy to use. Just wish it could be both for wifi and sim card

Je n’arrivais pas à connecter la caméra au réseau. J’ai reçu de l’aide en ligne par Joey. Il est super efficace, il a pris le temps avec moi de réglé mon problème et maintenant ça fonctionne super bien ! Très satisfaite du service 🙂

La telecamera funziona molto bene anche in condizioni di segnale ( 4g mobile) scarso.
Personalmente la installo nei mesi estivi per monitorare una baita in montagna.
Facile da installare e quando ho avuto bisogno dell’assistenza tecnica per capire se il problema di ricezione fosse della telecamera oppure del gestore telefonico, l’operatore dell’ helpdesk Kiki, (che si può contattare attraverso l’app della telecamera) mi ha prontamente aiuto a risolvere.

 Highly recommend this camera. Easy to set up and use. Comes with a sim that you can continue using by adding a data plan to it. Customer service is brilliant, as I had a query and I was responded to very fast. The night vision is super. The detection alerts are fast. Delighted with my purchase.

Ich habe mir die Kamera für unseren Schrebergarten gekauft und bin total begeistert. Ich habe mir eine günstige 5GB SIM Karte dazu bestellt (1&1 Netz), damit funktioniert die Kamera sehr gut und auch das Datenvolumen reicht aus.
Die Nachtsicht ist top, alles sehr gut zu erkennen, bei Bedarf kann auch noch das Licht eingeschaltet werden (per Fernsteuerung), ist aber absolut nicht notwendig. Viele Einsellmöglichkeiten, wie Alarm bei Bewegungserkennung aufs Handy, Aufnahmezeit bei Bewegungserkennung usw.
Auch das ich die Richtung der Kamera über die App steuern kann finde ich absolut cool. Die Auflösung kann bei Bedarf auch in HD umgestellt werden und liefert gestochen scharfe Bilder.Ãber das mitgelieferte Solarpanel ist die Cam immer geladen und bereit.
Super Spielzeug für alle technikbegeisterten.
Ich würde Sie mir sofort wieder kaufen.

Ich habe mir auch noch eine 2. Kamera bestellt um auch den Blick nach hinten zu haben. Nach einem Monat Nutzung kann ich immer noch eine Empfehlung aussprechen, auch bei schlechten Wetter immer zu 100% geladen. Wirklich top!

La cámara realmente funciona muy bien. La calidad de imagen es muy buena ya que tiene la opción de configurarla en HD. El audio también es muy bueno, incluso tienes que configurarla para bajar la entrada de sonido porque si hay un ruido fuerte cerca puede llegar a ser ensordecedor. El detector de movimiento funciona muy bien y puedes graduar también la sensibilidad para que se active la grabación que puede ser en una tarjeta micro SD o en el servicio de nube.
Pero lo mejor de la compra es sin duda el servicio de atención al cliente de la marca.
Kiki es realmente amable, contesta prácticamente al instante tus dudas y soluciona todos los problemas de la instalación, algo realmente importe para alguien que no sea muy diestro con las nuevas tecnologÃas, como es mi caso.
Cuando la compré, Kiki no solo me ayudó a resolver mis dudas sino que activó la garantÃa de la cámara y tuvo varios detalles conmigo. Realmente encantada con el producto y con la atención al cliente post venta.
