Couldn’t ask for more.
This charge controller has been the perfect addition to my truck camper. I have 400w of solar going into the charger and it keeps my 200ah’s of lithium topped off daily. I’ve never seen it below 84% running our fridge and fans all night. In just a few hours of sun the battery’s are full once again. I planned on hooking up the alternator charging as well but at this point it has not been needed! It’s a very high quality unit and when paired with the bt-2 Bluetooth module it’s very easy to keep an eye on your power usage.

Simple setup
This is a really simple system to hook up. I recommend getting either a bus bar or distribution block for the ground at the very least. I’ll be putting a positive distribution block in also. You will also need a second inline fuse for the alternator input. It does come with one 60-amp ANL, but the manual recommends one for both solar input and alternator. Also, in line fuse for your solar panels at the connection. It’s redundant but a lot cheaper to replace a fuse than cable, panels or batteries. I haven’t had a chance to get my solar panels hooked up, but I have the DCDC charging set up. It works perfectly fine. I’m running a 300-amp alt to a battery isolator for my auxiliary battery bank for my offroad lighting and winch. From that point (for now) I hooked up 4AWG battery cables with jumper cable alligator clips, to an Anderson plug that runs into my cargo trailer conversion. Right now, I’m running 300 ah bank, with a 3500 watt inverter and it’s being charged flawlessly when running my truck. When the extra battery cable shows up I’ll run a more permanent setup from the starter battery rather than the auxiliary, which I think will shorten charge time drastically since it will be more direct.

The most powerful little battery charger
This thing is magic. I followed their video install and referenced a few other videos….while my wires aren’t pretty the install was so easy. Not advertised but apparently the documentation also says a red flashing light on the alternator light (not lit in the photo) means the device is charging your vehicle battery? Possibly when your house battery is full and solar is coming in. Thats friggin awesome. This made the biggest part of my van conversion seem like one of the easiest parts. Love it!

Excellent
After using a simple isolator for years this unit is so superior! It charges the batteries quickly and completely. It knows when to go solar and when to go alternator. It really is an amazing addition to an adventure vehicle. I wish I’d have gotten one years ago.

DO NOT BUY LASTED 1 MONTH OF USAGE
DO NOT BUY IT DOES NOT LAST!!! I bought this unit and when installed it lasted 1 month of use before the DC-DC charging failed. Unit was wired from start battery to 100A fuse to battery isolator then to unit. Have 13.6V coming into the unit and nothing coming out of it. It was merely reading 11.1V from the house battery.

Great products. Customer support could be better
This unit works great. i had an electrical problem, which I had to figure out myself.

So far very impressed
Purchased this for a 2008 Fleetwood icon 24 foot RV to replace the previous charge coming from the chassis battery back to the house battery as I replace the house batteries with lithium batteries. With lithium batteries tied to the house, wet batteries I needed something that could adjust the current coming from alternator/battery that would work better for lithium. Absolutely no complaints with this product. In fact, I absolutely love the intelligence of it Monitoring the current battery state and adjusting the amperage accordingly, so as not to damage the batteries of the house. The other benefit from my understanding is when I add solar panels to the roof of the RV, I’ll be able to tie directly into this DC to DC converter without having to purchase anything additionally. If it continues to perform as well as it has on this recent trip, I’m going to be very, very happy with it.

Does what it says it does so far. Get the Bluetooth adaptor.
Not sure why this product is so unusual in the market. Having both vehicle power input AND a solar power input is very helpful to say the least! Came with some nice accessories like terminals and a nice ALN fuse holder. Hooked up easy, does what it says it does. I highly recommend getting the BT2 accessory. I could see that one of the solar panels I bought was defective. I would have not been able to detect that without it. ALSO, I can use the phone app to set a MAX charge current. That is very helpful for when I want to charge my power crate off of a car cigarette lighter socket etc. My project is intended to run a remote office while camping in remote areas. The charger fills a 100Ahr Lithium battery. Inverter is just a little 400w unit. I used a 50A Anderson connector for the vehicle power input and a 30A Power pole for the solar hook up. If I added more solar I would upgrade that. I have a power disconnect switch on the battery to isolate the system when not in use. Enjoy.

Works as should, the only design issue, soon as any solar power detected, limits the alternator output to 25 amp. Works perfectly as a dc to dc charger with 50a output.

I’ve had this wired up in my vehicle for a few months and it’s doing a great job. I’ve regularly seen it pushing over 40A through the battery. 45 minutes driving a day is enough to keep my fridge running 24/7. Knowing how fast I can charge the battery I wish I’d bought a smaller one!

Installed in a bus conversion to take advantage of the alternator charging my LiFePo4 batteries when the engine is running and being able to trickle charge the starter batteries while parked. Seamless installation, robust connectors and after I ordered and installed the BT-2 hardware, the app provides all the pertinent information in real time. Time will determine the durability of the device, but it’s working great thus far. Cheers!

Looks good quality but haven’t installed it yet.
