Decent Quality, AWESOME Value Let me get this caveat out of the way: I have been jaded by the top of the line Samsung phones, including the Galaxy Flip 5, Fold 4, and S24 Ultra. Therefore, I was a bit disappointed when I first tried out this phone. But then I woke up and realized, my least expensive phone, the Flip 5, is a $1,000 phone (mine was the 512gb version at $1150), so this phone from KXD should only be judged at 10% of the Samsung, since it’s priced at $100. So when you think about it that way, this is a GREAT value phone. The screen is 720p resolution, which is actually fine and very usable for a 6.5″ inch screen. It is an LCD type of panel, so it’s not as vibrant or contrasty as your iPhone or Samsung phones. Think of it like watching a Westinghouse TV vs. a Sony TV. Sure, I would be fine with the best TV type, and I would also be fine with saving a boat-load of money. The processor is noticeably slower than the latest iPhone and Androids, but still very serviceable. Fortunately, I had an old HTC U11 to also compare with, and it’s around the same speed. But what’s amazing is the HTC was like $600 when I bought it new about eight years ago. So this $100 KXD is actually very well done. Finally, the 13mp camera is also very decent. It’s nowhere near as good as the iPhones and Samsung, and to be honest, not as good as even the HTC, but it’s much better than any camera you can get for $100, and you’re actually getting $100 for a whole smart phone. And with today’s software and myriad of editing apps, you can easily turn it into a post-worthy photo for IG or Facebook. So, in the end, with all things consider… If it was rated in a vacuum, it would be three out of five stars. It’s not great at any one thing, but it’s decent at most things. And when you take into consideration it’s only $100, it makes an excellent budget phone, secondary phone, travel phone, or in situations where you are worried about losing your expensive phone.
