Pretty decent tripod mount adapter.
It’s a pretty decent tripod mount adapter.Packaging:It came well boxed and padded, and arrived intact.Installation:It’s a straightforward installation if you’re familiar with camera gear. I have a quick release for my camcorder and this mount snaps right in.Use:My phone, a Note 20 Ultra, fits easily in the cradle. It supports my phone well and gives me a lot of adjustment options. It will do the job.On the less-than-great side, it’s plastic and not very high quality. When you turn and pivot things it clicks but it’s jerky. It has a cheaper feeling than the all-metal one I used to have, which would click smoothly and stay locked in place.Final Thoughts:For the price it’s a great purchase. It works, and that’s what matters. If you want something a little more substantial feeling then look for the more expensive units, but if you need a bare-bones mount, for primary or maybe as a backup, then this is a decent unit.I recommend this item.

Super useful and flexible tripod mount adapter
If you’re ready to up your cell phone picture game, a tripod is a great way to do that – it allows you to frame your shots in ways you just can’t manually with greater stability. You of course can also set up pictures that YOU’RE in (and not just selfies) or take extended exposure pictures at night. And much more! But how do you attach the phone to the tripod? Well, you use a mount adapter just like this one! While it’s somewhat deceptively simple, this mount adapter provides a TON of flexibility in how you mount your phone and what angles / etc. you can achieve. You get two basic pieces – a “claw” type mount that can adjust to grip a variety of phones in either landscape or portrait mode and screw on to a tripod and a second piece that lets you (optionally) also have a quick release and a ball type mount to achieve new / different angles that you might want. You can use both pieces together or just the claw mount itself if you want something smaller and lighter weight.Between the two pieces, this mount lets you achieve nearly any angle you could think of with your phone on a tripod (depending on the tripod you use, of course) all off a standard 1/4 threaded mounting post. The construction is good – though there’s a good bit of plastic, so not sure on long-term durability, but it seems like it will hold up, and all the adjustments are metal which is good – and it’s well thought through and easy to use. So if you’re looking for a way to tripod mount your cell phone for photos and videos, give this mount a try today!

Depends on your use case, but quality overall is on the mid to low end.
So this device comes with two main pieces that you can use together or separately depending on your use case. The first is a ball jointed swivel with 1/4-20″ thread and a level that you could use for the top of a tripod or something to mount a camera or whatever else accepts 1/4-20″ that you want to mount with some ability to adjust and level, and this particular piece is of reasonable but not exceptional quality. The level portion with the 1/4-20″ thread can be removed via a little button which allows it to slide out, not sure why you would do that unless you just happen to have some other attachment that fits into this little proprietary slot (pretty unlikely to me based on the design of the slot being something I’ve never seen before) but it’s there. The ball joint can be adjusted via a thumb screw on the side which works well. There is also a small sticker on the side which covers a set screw, the set screw I am actually not sure the purpose of, my hope is that it will allow you to remove the ball jointed piece in case you want to use it elsewhere but I havent found an allen wrench to remove the set screw yet to test this – so for now I am treating the ball jointed part as un-removable and it is what it is – Overall this part of the kit serves its purpose and I have no major issues with it. The second part of the kid is a phone mount which you can adjust it’s width with one screw to clamp down onto a phone or other relatively small (definitely no more than like 6″ wide, maybe a bit less) device. It has another thumb screw which you can use to adjust the rotation of that device on a single plane, about 270 degrees if the device is adjusted to it’s maximum width as it will come into contact with itself before spinning in a full circle. This second part can be threaded onto something as it also has a female 1/4″-20 connector. This second part of the kit I am really not super impressed by, it feels like pretty cheap plastic, even the part which sits in the clamp to touch the edges of your phone to hold it in is rather hard and cheap feeling, usually it would just be foam on a device like this, and as I noted the adjustability of this thing is kindof terrible, being adjustable only in a single plane, possibly only up to like 270 degrees depending on the width of your device, of course if you use it in combination with the other part that has the level and male threaded fitting on it, you can still be able to adjust in at least two planes (not height). But yeah overall I’m not super impressed with this thing especially for 15 dollars I think there are far better options out there – the only reason I’d suggest it I suppose is if you need the first part with the level/ball mount and cannot find a similar item for cheaper from another manufacturer, if you are mainly interested in the phone mounting part then I would skip this altogether as that part is mostly junk.

Ball and socket base, made of aluminum , the rest is heavy plastic. This thing allows for greater flexibility in mounting on a tripod. The phone holder is a screw clamp rather than spring loaded, which i think I like better..than I thought I would. The Two components can be used together or individually.

Bring on the Northern Lights
Summary: works fine and I wish I’d have had earlier.I was out watching the recent great Northern Lights display. I took a few pictures with my cell phone that turned out pretty well given that I hand-held it. As I was taking the pictures, I was wishing I had a tripod and phone mount.A few days later I ordered this and I’m pleased. It is sturdy and works well holding my phone steady. Now if only the weather, my schedule and the solar activity can cooperate for another great display. I’ll be ready this time.
