Works, did not mar dashboard I have a fancy Proclip specific to my car. I needed a phone holder to use in rental cars while traveling. This worked fine for the last couple weeks since purchasing it. I used it on a 2024 Nissan Rogue and a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I was able to use it for a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in a Dbrand Grip case.It bounced around a little on rough roads but the holder stayed clipped and the phone stayed in place. It did not leave any marks on the dashboard. So I am very satisfied with it for what I used it for and given the cost which is 1/5 of what my regular holder cost.Note that I gave 5 stars for suction power but this phone holder uses a spring clamp, not suction so it is really not applicable but that was not a rating choice and the 5 stars represents my opinion of the clamp.
No sticky Adhesive To Deal With No need to deal with sticky adhesive which can leave a permanent circular mark (unless you deep scrub it) or lose stickiness overtime (had use one before a 2 years before it fell off on its own). Easy to take on and off when you need toThis one just clamps on. Strong hold. Can leave indentation (temporary or permanent) depending on material of your dashboard.Rubber grip is plastic. Wouldn’t leave it out in 100+ degree weather in case it meltsI wouldn’t recommend you stick it to the rear view mirror as it block some of your view, and must turn over your shoulder more. Placing it over dashboard is mixed as it can block some field of view depending on how low the dashboard and your seat is. I personally use it when parked (waiting for someone to finish shopping or watching streaming video while eating in car)Phone holder clamp is very smooth. No annoying spring loading sound. Personally don’t like the style of clamp on the phone holder. Must use two hands to put phone on (unless you have strong fingers and shove your phone into it). Since it has a small ball joint, if you have other phone holders with same ball joint you can swap it instead which I did.
placement has many options. ready to use out of the box. I like that it can be placed in spots that are out of the way of seeing what you need to see. It was so simple and easy to put in my difficult mini car. I have tried the ones for the cup holder, took space, cd player slot broke easily. This one has no glue to get sticky and it doesn’t take up needed space. I like how it can be put out of the way but still visible to needed info on the screen.
good to try for the price my brother needed a phone holder directly in front of him. He drives a van so this is challenging to find something. Fortunately, this holder is wide enough even to fit on his sienna top dash. Only one of the mount clips is adjustable so it’s a bit inconvenient trying to take the phone out. Although I felt that the phone is a bit high up above the dash and it’s blocking a bit of the view. My brother ended up not using it but it’s not the fault of the holder. For the price, I think it’s worth to keep around if you’re looking for your phone holder solution. Personally, I have been using the MOKPR charger ASIN#B0982QSHLV for over 2 years and recently the bottom auto rise/decent part stopped working (still works but i have to hold it “mid-air” as it auto grabs the phone). But it has been great when it was working 100%. Another solution I am considering for my brother is the Tenpoform charger ASIN#B0B2JWCNV6.
