Great deal for this style of wallet. This works great if you use this style wallet and is Very similar to some of the higher priced options. I have had zero issues and it’s holding up well.
Minimalist, but not the thinnest Overall this is a terrific and stylish minimalist card holder design. I like the leather look of the one that I ordered and the industrial style of the screws. It’s a huge improvement over a typical leather wallet. That being said, if I am looking for the absolute thinnest wallet available, there are others that are slimmer, such as the one shown in the picture for comparison. That one only holds three cards, but it uses magsafe to hold on to the back of your phone. That’s truly minimalist. In another photo you can see that the FIRDIKT when empty starts off thicker than a magsafe holder that already has three cards in it.Con: The metal money clip adds to the width of this device and it’s difficult getting paper money in and out from underneath it. I would opt for the cash strap version if I were to buy it again.I’m also confused by the screwdriver and set of extra screws that are included. Is this thing adjustable or customizable? Do the screws tend to fall out and I should keep these on hand to replace them? I have no idea why this is even part of the set, and there are no instructions included and no mention of this on the product page either.

And now, FIRDIKT to the rescue with a patriotic minimalist wallet! As a minimalist wallet convert, I’ve learned to carry only the essentials, which means sometimes leaving non-essential cards at home. However, this wallet holds everything I truly need 95% of the time â IDs, credit cards, insurance cards, all with the added benefit of RFID protection. To test the RFID protection, I placed my hotel key card inside the wallet and tried to scan the door â nothing happened. While this might not be a scientific test, it reassures me that the wallet offers some level of protection. The wallet’s finish is smooth – it is obviously not made of wood but from a short distance seems like a paint spash or stroke on wood veneer. The money clip is durable and retains its shape well, thanks to its strong spring. The hinges that keep the cards fastened are actually stronger than I expected.I did read another review mentioning issues with cards slipping out when the wallet is shaken. The inner faces of the plates are smooth to allow cards to slide out for easy access. To use this wallet properly, push out the stack slightly, then fan out the cards like a stack of playing cards to find the one you need. I did try shaking the wallet vigorously, and yes, the cards did start to slide out, but this is not typical usage. If you shake any wallet with the slots open and facing down, there’s a good chance cards will slip out.In summary, this minimalist wallet offers a sleek, functional, and stylish solution for carrying your essentials with added RFID protection and a durable money clip. It’s a great investment for to simplify wallets without compromising on quality or style. It arrives in a nice non-descript retail box, suitable for gifting. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.
Worth a Test Drive Initial Impressions: Thinner and lighter than my current daily-carry wallet, which is quite a feat! If youâre looking for an entry-level type-R wallet to see if this style fits you, this is an excellent wallet to try.All the Details: For my 50th wallet review, it seems appropriate that I got my hands on an iconic forged carbon fiber model with âglowing coalâ red flecks. The little red bits are reflective and create light play across the surface of the wallet. The forged carbon fiber creates a vaguely holographic effect.I love minimalist wallets, especially the type-R, for their ultra-slim profile and super-light weight. This wallet is a fantastic example of what I look for in these wallets. With a thickness of 9mm, and 91 mm by 53 mm, this is the second smallest type-R wallet Iâve ever reviewed. Its weight of 55 grams makes it the lightest ever, breaking the previous record of 58 grams. Fully loaded with my usual mix of six cards and some cash, thickness is 14 mm.To achieve this super thin and light design, FIREDIKT had to change up a few things from the usual design. Instead of a four-layer construction of two carbon fiber outer plates and two polished aluminum inner plates, FIREDIKT has embedded the carbon fiber outer plates into the inner plates (see pic). This really slims down the overall profile of the wallet. The inner plates have been nicely beveled to make inserting cards easier. The leather feature on the elastic cash strap adds back some thickness, but also adds a bit of class to the vibe of the wallet.Of course, at this price range, some compromises have to be made. For example, the elastic band only covers the ends, rather than the ends and the back edge. Not a critical issue, but something that would be present on a more expensive version. Also, there are no visible screws so when the elastic band wears out, it cannot be replaced. Lastly, the inner plates could use a bit more polish so that cards slide out as easily as they slide in. A good polish on those inner plates is the sign of a good quality design. The polishing on this wallet is not bad, but it could be better. That being said, this is a fantastic wallet at this price. Most minimalist wallets in this price range are complete trashâthis one offers real value.Overall, if youâre on the fence about minimalist wallets, this is a great wallet to give a try. For the price of a fast food meal, you can see what all the hype is about. Highly recommended if you havenât tried one yet.
