The phone is a European Model I received locked up.
The phone I received is not for in this country. I contacted Cat and they informed me that the phone is an European model locked up and will not work in the US.

A robust -albeit conservative- device
This is a device that will withstand any mistreatment or harsh environment along with excellent battery life. In the remaining terms, don’t expect anything bleeding edge. Specs are quite conservative, but it will serve most use cases .

Phone is durable. ip68 waterproof @ 5 ft for 30 minutes.It comes pre installed with android 10 & will update to android 11 (Jan 2022) .Put the phone on “glove mode” under the display settings and you’ll be able to use the phone with wet hands or while wearing gloves (makes the screen more responsive)Has a headphone jackUnfortunately uses the old micro USB port so it is slow to charge.The battery lasts 24+ hours with regular useThe phone only works on 4G = slower

My hubby does construction. Gets covered in dirt, rain, trips over- gets impact etc. Some weeks he’d break a new touchscreen phone every few days. Hes had a brick, Nokia phone for a yr or so but his work said he had to get a phone with apps. Unfortunately he has to have a phone with him on site to clock on and off with the work place app to stop people stealing hours. Anyway- this phone has been going strong after 2 weeks thus far, despite being a touch screen. Hubby likes it. It’s simple. Has good calculators for construction stuff, torch, decent camera, long battery life, nicely sealed against dirt etc. Would be good if it had larger storage SD card or something, will see if I can track down a memory card to increase storage as it gets full after just a few text messages- luckily hubby doesn’t keep photos, videos etc. But overall good phone!

I bought these for use in one of our warehousing and retail operations. Running only on the WiFi, the call quality is clear and hasn’t dropped. The rubber coating makes it difficult to slip in and out of the pocket easily – but for what we are using it for, that works – because we don’t want the phones in pockets.If you’re looking for a solid phone that does what a phone is supposed to do – this is it. And at a great price for the quality.

Bought this phone for my boyfriend who goes through 2 or more phones a year for the last 6 years due to being in construction. I figured we would try a more durable phone and hopefully have it last longer. We bought a phone knowing the software wasn’t top of line but it feels like the software is a decade behind the phone release date. Terrible software but does the job if mostly all you do is text and call. The battery last awhile but probably because you don’t want to use the phone at all. It’s not anymore durable than any other phone. The pictures I showed was of the last drop (5 months of owning) but about 3 months after getting the phone, the screen was already smashed. He’s had iPhones last longer than this phone. And the warranty sucks so I can’t even get it replaced/money back. 0/10 would not recommend at all
