Best choice for cutting boards
These composite wood boards are a really good choice as they are basically wood. Being softer than the blade (unlike ceramic boards) yet still tougher than wood alone or plastic they are very durable. After a while, wood and plastic get deeps cuts that harbor bacteria. These boards resist those deep cuts but won’t dull a knife excessively.

Very solid product
We tried one of these prior to our purchase, and the experience has been good enough to pick up another one. These are artificial looking, but have stood up to steady use for months now, and are still rolling.The biggest selling point is that they can go in to the dishwasher.I think that’s important enough to repeat.These can go in the dishwasher.I do like the look and feel of wooden cutting boards. The main downfall of them, though, is that they get left in the sink, get wet, dry out, and eventually start to delaminate, making them less useful. The epicurean boards don’t, because they are not laminated that way. Ours have still been left in the sink a little too long, from time to time, and they come out fine. So far, so good.The only downside is that I ordered a size that is sometimes a little too small, but that’s not a fault of the product.

Sturdy, high quality board
This board may be thin, but the surface is hard and gives good feedback on chops. While it may not be as thick as a wooden board, it is machine washable and wonât break down as easy. Overall a good and low maintenance board and would definitely recommend

Great boards, diswasher safe, last a long time
I’d prefer wood boards, but we’re just not dedicated enough to oil them down all the time and just can’t help but stick them in the dishwasher, which kills them really quick. These are the most similar to wood vs the various plastic types out there and they’re dishwasher safe. They have a good weight to them, don’t warp/bend like the thin plastic sheet boards do, and don’t get all gross and sliced up like the white plastic ones of similar size and weight do. We have a few big ones of these that we also use for serving pizza (great to hold it and cut it, so might as well serve right from it), and just bought these smaller ones as they’re not too much bigger than a plate and fit easily in the dishwasher. The older, bigger ones we have we’ve had for at least 2-3 years and they still work and look great. One has a few slice marks on it, but not deep and it doesn’t impact the use. Great boards.

These cutting boards are THE BEST! Have been using them for years and see no need to buy any other type of cutting board. Plus, the thin profile makes them easy to store.

Guess itâs never too late. This cutting board is great. Easy to use. Knives donât leave cuts on board. Goes right into the dishwasher. Iâll probably purchase a larger style. Glad I bought it.

Good feel cutting on it
The only thing I wish I did different is getting a bigger oneðIt doesn’t gets deformed and this is very important. It’s light and feels good to cut on.

What’s not to like? Slim design, easy on knifes, DISHWASHER SAFE! Can I say it again… Dishwasher safe! Love that! Get this, you won’t be disappointed. Had no issues with a smell as others have said, and yes it will get light cut marks but it’s not a big deal… I don’t know why/how some people cut so darn hard to make huge gouges in the board? Don’t be violent with it, and it will last a LONG time, and so will your knives.

This is the third Epicurean cutting board Iâve ever bought and I know how great their products are. My old two has been used more than a decade and theyâre still performing well. Since I recently moved away from my parentsâ house so I decided to leave the old two for my parents and purchase another one for my new apartment kitchen.This new one works well too. I love the design of the shape. The slight outward-curved edges makes it more usable and spacious while not being too bulky. It does not stain even if you leave some juice on it and dry overnight. Cleaning and maintaining are simply effortless.Also this specific style doesnât have any anti-slip feet at the back, which means you can use it on either sides.I always recommend Epicurean or Sage (another brand with similar concepts of products) to my friends when it comes to cutting boards. You canât go wrong with them.

Cette planche qui est utilisée dans beaucoup de restaurants maintenant est juste au top! Et pour cause, elle marque très peu au coup de couteau (elle est cicatrisante) et sèche très vite (pas de bactérie). De plus, elle n’abime pas les couteaux et est écolo. Vraiment je la recommande, même si son prix peu rebuter certains au début, c’est vraiment un très bon investissement (en 1 an et demi ma planche est nickel).

I’ve had 3 black Epicurean chopping boards in different sizes for 6 years now; they are all used on a daily basis, washed in the dishwasher each time and still absolutely perfect. I’m really surprised that other reviewers have had issues with shedding fibres; I see no evidence of any disintegration on my boards or on the food that I chop (including raw chicken breast that would definitely show up black fibres).Yesterday I ordered a natural wood coloured board as a present for a friend and it arrived today. ( I guess I’m being very lucky because I see that another customer didn’t get the natural colour when ordered).I think these boards are truly excellent pieces of kitchen equipment and by far the best chopping boards I’ve ever come across. My husband is quite a serious cook and very particular about looking after his sharp knives and the Epicurean boards are not only kind to knives but light to handle, and, best of all, dishwasher proof. I really can’t fault them in any way and am genuinely staggered by some of the negative comments. Must have been a rogue batch or something. Shame cos these boards make kitchen life a LOT easier.
