Customers say
Customers like the quality of the mount. However, some find it difficult to properly align the cell-phone camera over the eyepiece of the instrument. Opinions are mixed on fit, adjustability, ease of use, stability, performance, and value.

It works perfectly both with their Gosky spotting scope & my old pair of binoculars
Works, mostly metal so feels strong, adaptable to seemingly anything, fits my phone perfectly.
And itâs really affordable. So personally yea if youâre looking to see if itâs worth it Iâd say yes.

Very pleased
First of all, you have to figure out how much max width you have with your Bino’s wide open which makes a huge difference in being able to angle these units enough to get your phones perfectly horizontal “whether at 0 degree’s or 90 degree’s” without having to tilt the bino’s on the tripod head. i had purchased and returned 4 other supposedly Quality brands ranging in price from $50 to $100 that were rated pretty good but not good on my heaviest Bino’s “Cheapo Pentax 20×60″ that are very heavy weighing in at 4.1 pds nor my lighter units because they just wouldn’t stay in place once mounted and did not have near the adjustment these have. On these particular Bino’s i have to mount them at 20 degree’s to get my Iphone 5s to near perfect horizontal plane which isn’t a real problem. There is a lot of adjustment with this unit but the way it clamps on i have to use every bit of it but it works awesome ! I have found that the field of view improves dramatically with backing the camera lens away about 1/2″ and the same with both pairs of my Vortex. It does take a bit to get it adjusted so if you are running and gunning with quick set-ups you will probably get very frustrated but i had worse problems with the other units i had. This unit is by far more durable than the other units i tried ” with this Being made mostly of Metal. The ocular clamp is awesome with with very durable inserts that will definitely not damage your optics but will grip without moving once tightened. The Phone clamp is also very easy to adjust and grips my Iphone 5s very firmly and will not damage the phone nor move once tightened and also with durable soft inserts surrounding the phone ! With my particular adjustable , rubber ocular piece with the Outside Diameter of 48.49 MM with this clamp opened to its max it is extremely snug to get the clamp around but it will work with some patience and finesse. If your particular eye cups are hard with little to no give then it will not fit at this max adjustment. In my opinion it is a Must to purchase a remote Bluetooth shutter release for the best pictures possible. At this point i am very satisfied with my experience and will not be returning it! I Know, My Grammar sux at best so please forgive me.

Maybe I just need a bit more practice using this….
…but for me, I wanted to use this adapter to photograph birds primarily. I discovered that since most birds are quick to hop around from branch to branch and may not sit for very long, it was hard for me to get the camera focused in on the photo subject quick enough. Not to mention when the phone is set up in the adapter, it covered the eyepiece of the Celestron so I couldn’t “quick check” through the eyepiece where I had the Celestron pointing/focused. The trees make it hard to pinpoint where you are using the camera display and sometimes I lose the area I am trying to photograph with shaking while adjusting/sliding the adapter. I tried partially moving it to the side so I could still use the eyepiece but get the camera in place faster when I spotted something to photograph but still had problems doing it fast enough. I will practice using the phone as the eyepiece more. Maybe I just need stronger glasses! hahaha
The birds move faster than I can get the adapter adjusted but I did use it to take pictures of a tree, a few flowers on a tree and a dragonfly hanging out and that worked well. I was able to finally get focused in well and captured crisp clear pics. I will work with it some more and try and update my review.

Works once aligned
It does exactly what is says, but it does take a few minutes to properly install and align it the first time. Just be sure not to overly tighten and of the knobs until you figure out which of your phone’s cameras to align to the eyepiece. Once you figure that out, it is pretty easy and straightforward to use. I have used it binoculars and telescopes with great success. I had ordered a different brand initially because it came with a remote camera button, but it was very cheaply made. I would recommend by a better model like this one and the camera remote separately.

Expected Better From This Popular Company
A top rated product from a well respected manufacturer should have been worth the money and a no brainer but unfortunately this one missed the mark (for me at least).
When it arrived, it came in a small completely plain white thin cardboard box. No logo, company name or other identifier present except for the small parcel sticker on the side.
No tape holding it together – it was slightly crushed and mangled and one side had started the pop open.
Inside was the product and a folded instructions guide with pictures. But that was everything.
Upon holding it it didn’t feel particularly cheap? But it didn’t feel super quality either.
Made of thick plastic and screws, it’s a bit of a process to get everything fitted and set in a way that actually allows for any viewing.
I found the screws to be cumbersome at best and pretty much useless at worst.
The top screw from that whole section just seemed to spin and spin and never tighten or loosen or move at all.
In all my attempts, it’s left these sparkly piles of shavings and friction dandruff in and around the holes and surrounding plastic.
To keep this from becoming a short book, all in all I was disappointed with this product because it’s apparent ratings on here combined with it being from a brand I know and have personally used other products of theirs, I hadn’t any doubt I was getting a quality product.
Unfortunately I found this product to be difficult to use, the design and mechanisms could be better, different (or actually work, in my case..), frustrating, and disappointing especially coming from Gosky.

Holds my Samsung Galaxy 23 FE to my Vortex spotting scope the way it’s supposed to and works better than my buddies very expensive machined aluminum one. Would buy again.

It’s easy to fit, it works, and once you have your mobile camera adjusted it means that you no longer have to try to adjust you spotting scope stooped over with your eye mm from the eyepiece. It makes the whole thing much easier, and you can take photos. Excellent value for money!
