Poor Quality in Every Way – Don’t Recommend – Updated to Five Stars After Washing Towels
Review Update: I am updating a previously incorrect review. I acted too quickly and unfairly. After washing, the towels fluffed up considerably. They’re dense, good quality towels. Rather odd shape — narrow and long — but they’re absorbent and and more than adequate for the job.Earlier Review: These towels arrived promptly. Shrink wrapped so that it wasn’t readily evident that they are not much thicker than tissue paper. I thought that vacuum-pack aspect was the reason that the package was so thin. To my dismay, the cloths didn’t expand after opening that vacuum seal. Nor did they improve after unfolding and shaking out the fabric. They genuinely see-through.I didn’t feel like I could return them after opening the package — but I should have. They are honestly almost as thin as tissue paper. The “terry cloth” is sparse. I am surprised that others have given a good review for this product. Perhaps the quality has changed since those reviews were posted.

I like these Homaxy 100% Cotton Terry Kitchen Towels because they absorb water well and dry quickly. They are an odd size compared to what I’ve had before, but they work. They seem to fluff up after washing and drying them. Good towels for the price!

Great product that after they were washed they fluffed up a bunch. They are very pretty, I like the dark color so that stains do not show as much! Very interesting packaging that confused me until the first washing and drying. The vacuum packed package is thin and stiff. When first opened the towels are very thin, but when washed and dried end up with fluffy absorbent towels. I saw some negative reviews about the towels being thin, and I would have written those reviews if I had not yet washed and dried these towels. I wonder whether the reviewers were discussing the towels when they are first unpackaged and before a wash and dry? The towels now in my drawer are absorbent and soft and just the size I like for drying anything that I hand wash. Also, the size and absorbency are just what is needed to dry the water that pools in the recesses in the tops of mugs and glasses that air dry after going through the dishwasher. Delighted with this product.

These are not very absorbent, and they shed.
Great price. They look nice. 100% cotton. But they don’t absorb very well, and they shed black fuzz, even after a machine wash & dry. I bought them for the Airbnb I’m renting, and I’ll leave them behind. They are terry cloth, but not a plush terry, so the absorbency is limited. They just don’t dry well at all. And the black lint is really apparent on my glassware and white ceramic dishes. Grrr.
