Nice for storage and light use.
Cute! I have an elevated bed and needed something about half the bed height for the little dog to jump onto and then up to the bed. This trunk serves the purpose plus gives storage for me. The size is just right in both height and length so I have room to get in/ out of bed without hurting myself and he has room to jump up without hurting his little bones. The trunk has ample storage area. All the parts needed are included (it is full assembly required). The assembly is super easy and took about 20 minutes. Instructions are pictures (no words) but the pictures and assembly are very simple. However, do yourself a favor (unless you have the hand strength of Thor) and use an electric screwdriver to install the lid hinges and support bracket. The screws are exceedingly painful to install just by hand screwdriver (or the tiny 2 in 1 hex/phillips key they provide. This is not a super-duper heavy duty solid wood product. The inset panels are the thinnest of wood-like product and the frame pieces are the equivalent of 1×2 particle board wrapped in wood colored vinyl. The lid and overall product are sturdy though. Overall, for storage, rustic looks, and light use (such as a small dog jumping onto the bed booster) it’s amazing. As an item for regular daily use (such as a toy box for a rambunctious child) or for sitting on by anyone of any weight, I wouldn’t suggest using this.

Practical
It suits very well in our living room.. good size and I would say the quality is good but not the most stable units but functional and practical and good looking storage unit. The installation was a piece of cake 🙂

Looks nice and is good storage option
It is laminated sawdust/ fiber board, just like all cheap china junk furniture. When I build these type of items I have the intent of never disassembling them and they will always loosen in time, so I always glue the parts together, glue the hardware especially all screw threads and I’ve never had any of my items fall apart or loosen. This little storage chest will be quite sturdy with some reinforcements. Overall it was a typical piece of furniture of this type, however I did notice some extreme weak points. The lid mounted to the hinges with the tiniest of screws was never going to hold up. Also the lifting arm was a very strong spring for this lid, which is good, I do not believe this arm was going to hold without tearing out the small tiny screws. The bottom also didn’t have any center screws on the long side and sagged and would get worse when filled with items. I reenforced all these areas with epoxy and added 2 screws to the bottom. I believe now it will last for several years. I paid $84 which was twice what it was worth, should have been $34 to $44, however I really wanted this item, the size, color was what I had been looking for, real wood items built to last were $300 to $400 for this size and style item. So that is how I justified paying $84. I like it a lot, it is a nice looking piece of furniture, wish the hardware was nickel or brushed nickel color or black like the visible screws vs the bronze look. My pictures will show my modifications where I improved the strength of this item so the lid would not break off and the bottom will not sag in the middle. Only other thing I wish it were made in USA, I think they should advertise the country it is made in. The “made in china” sticker came off very hard, wish they used removable glue so it would peel off easy and clean. I had to use WD-40 to remove the decals and glue. I like this chest and would but 2 more if the price was 50% less to put one and each of my bedrooms, I really like this piece. Overall I am happy but think I did over pay for this item. Sturdiness is a 5 after my modifications only after being reinforced.

Sturdy and good quality!
We’ve had this box for about a year now and it’s held up great with heavy daily use of 4 kids! Plus blends into living room decor. Holds a considerable amount!

Used as a toy box
I still have it 5 start even though it was so easy for me to put together but that just may be on me. It’s very sturdy. I love the safety feature on the lid the most so when my daughter opens it, it doesn’t shut on her hand. It holds all the toys I needed it to.

Sturdy and decorative
This is a sturdy product. My daughter loves to sit and stand on it. The hinges are strong and it matches our decor so it doesn’t look tacky in our livingroom. Great value.

It looks great but a pain in the neck to assemble. I literally had to take every piece apart and turn it upside down, back to front or left to right to get it all to fit together. Also, the screw don’t always go in all the way making it look not-great and could lead to clothes or fingers getting caught on it
