However the other strap doesn’t fit and could have probably of benefitted from having a couple of extra links in the box. That being said its just a little thing that we are able to work with as it had an extra strap with the watch. My other half uses a motorola phone and this linked up with it in seconds so he was happy with it and is able to keep track of his gym work, daily fitness stuff and dietry things so he is happy with it and would recommend.
To use this watch to it’s fullest and benefit from all the features, you do need to install the FitCloudPro app and between it and the watch controls, customise it and turn features On or Off.The Bluetooth connection with my Google Pixel 7 Pro is seamless and it stays connected. It has all the usual features – step monitor; health monitors (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, sleep); receive notifications (WhatsApp, email, SMS, etc.); set fitness goals; literally 100s of different clock faces to choose from; set alarms; control music on your phone or have it played over the watch, and if you set up the Sonos app correctly, even control your Sonos speakers with it; receive and make phone calls; etc. Basically, everything (and more) that I can do with my Google Pixel Watch.Itâs comfortable to wear, has a choice of straps (Silicon or metal) and the face is big and easy to read. The battery lasts for days; 4+ with constant health monitoring and notifications turned on.The watch is initially confusing to navigate and it does involve a bit of trial and error. Iâm not entirely convinced with the accuracy of the health data, but step and sport monitoring data seems accurate. The app: You donât need to register with the app to use it but regardless, it does have access to your data, dependent on which features you have set up and use. You can connect your Google Fit account to it. Itâs operated by Shenzhen Tuopu Intelligent Big Data Company Limited, a Chinese company and I think thatâs a potential deal breaker. Although they harvest it and profit from it, I trust, to a large degree but not entirely, big tech companies with my data (Google, Amazon, etc.) but Iâm unwilling to share all of my data with an unknown Chinese entity.
I’m very pleased with this smart watch. Well made, lightweight, comfortable to wear. Easy to use with lots of useful functions. Perfect for idea for birthday present or Christmas gift. Great quality and value for money. Highly recommended
Watch is better than I expected. Looks impressive and expensive. Can beat other smart watchesWatch has all the basic features of smart watch like monitoring sleeping, steps count, social media notification etc.Battery is decent too it last avg 3 days.Personally I think they could have built up better UI app which more user friendly and does not hang a lot. Overall, an amazing smart watch
The screen is sharp and responsive which makes using the watch easy. I’ve stuck with the default menu setting on the watch and it’s clear to navigate. There’s plenty of functions on here so it is feature rich for the price. The companion app, FitCloudPro, is quick to set up and I had no issues syncing to the watch. One negative for me is the choice of watch faces – there’s only a few and I’m not especially keen on any of them. Also the watch doesn’t seem compatible with the watch faces apps I tried (a couple of the most popular free to install apps) which is disappointing. The watch comes with two straps which are not fitted to the watch face – a plastic one and metal bracelet. I first tried fitting the bracelet but needed to take out some links – it’s fiddly but there is a tool provided to help. However maybe I exerted too much force or it’s just poor quality because the tool broke mid use. Also one of the pins that fixes the strap to the watch face broke. There were spare pins provided at least. The watch feels heavy with the bracelet on, which isn’t great for a fitness watch, so I reverted to using the plastic strap which makes the watch feel noticeably lighter. So overall there’s a good range of features and a responsive touch screen but the poor quality tools/parts for assembling the watch strap and not very appealing watch faces, coupled with lack of compatibility for adding a new face with third party watch face apps, do let it down somewhat.
