Perfect Fit and comfort
I recently got my hands on the Merrell Unisex-Adult’s Wool Everyday Hiking Socks in the 3 Pair Pack with Cushion Arch, and they’ve quickly become an essential part of my outdoor gear. These socks provide exceptional comfort with their well-designed cushioning, particularly in the arch area, making long hikes and outdoor activities far more enjoyable. Even in cooler weather, the wool blend in these socks keeps my feet warm without causing overheating, striking a perfect balance between insulation and breathability. Moreover, their durability is impressive; they’ve proven to be exceptionally resilient even with regular use and washing, showing no signs of wear or thinning. Additionally, these socks stay in place during hikes, ensuring that they don’t slide down or bunch up, which is essential for preventing blisters and discomfort. Their unisex design is also convenient, making them suitable for both men and women. While they may be on the pricier side compared to other hiking socks, the quality and performance they deliver make them a worthwhile investment for outdoor enthusiasts. If you enjoy spending time outdoors, I highly recommend giving these Merrell hiking socks a try—they might just become your go-to choice for your outdoor adventures.

WAY better than Darn Tough and other wool socks
Socks are tricky for me, I have sensory issues due to my ADHD/Autism so I need soft, breathable socks but I also need them to keep my feet warm and provide some cushioning between my feet and work boots. It’s a hard line to straddle. Wool is best for warmth and moisture-wicking but often wool or wool blends are extremely scratchy and abrasive to my sensitivities. Cotton just falls apart after short periods due to how active my job is.This are some of the best socks I’ve found, full stop. They’re affordable, plush, and very durable in my situation. They give enough cushion on my pressure points from my boots (heels and upper ridge) so there’s no blistering or rubbing either with a new pair of boots or just from long days in shoes, they keep my feet warm when I’m stuck in coolers at work for 3+ hours at a time, and they’re not restricting or too snug around my ankles or toes. I can even wear them to sleep on cold nights without yanking them off in my sleep. Durability is solid, for me at least. They’ve gotten wet, muddy, absconded with via cats, and other manners of abuse that necessitate heavy cleaning and held up well. No pilling or thinning of the fabric to my eyes as of yet.I wear a US Women’s 9 shoe and bought the S/M size and they fit me perfectly.

Super comfy short socks
These little gems are so comfy! I wanted shorter socks to wear trail hiking with my trail shoes. I love my Merrell super cushy tall hiking socks, so I thought what the heck, let’s try the shorter version. I LOVE them. I really like the pull tab on the back and the gentle elastic around the ankles. I bought the men’s version for size and comfort (I wear a 9 wide in women’s shoes) I found the men’s socks much more comfortable, cheaper and sturdy than the women’s versions.

comfortable work sock for normal shoes – not good with work boots
I liked the fit and comfort of the sock. Great with normal shoes but not work boots – too short.

Hiking sock like no other!
Bought for our annual Smoky Mountain hiking excursion. Previously I used Wally World cheap ankle socks… horrible. Paired these with my Merrell Moab 3 hiking shoes for a very comfortable experience. Was skeptical of the wool blend, but my feet did not sweat nor overheat.

Perfect for hiking
I purchased these to use on a two day trip into the Costa Rican rainforest. I hiked over 8 miles each day, in muddy, hot, and humid conditions, and my feet felt comfortable the entire time. No blisters and no odor at the end of each day. Due to the humidity, there was no way for me to wash or dry them until I got home, but despite having remained dirty and damp in a dry bag for several days, they washed up great and are ready for another use.

Runs 1 size bigger!
These socks run 1 size too big. I’m a women’s 6 and they were way too big (toe area, heel, extra material everywhere). I checked the socks and they were marked S/M so I received the right size. My partner wears a men’s 10.5 and they fit him perfectly (just right – not tight or too small anywhere), so ended up giving the socks to him. Not sure why the sizing is so off on thisMaterial is ok, wicking, and decently comfortable. It feels like slightly scratchy wool-material (wool is only 16%), but it’s not itchy when wearing. It’s average to low thickness and padding for hiking sock.

I bought these socks 2 years ago and I can say they are very soft and durable. I use them regularly during the week and so far I still don’t have any holes on them and I have been lucky not to loose them to LAUNDRY. Definitely will buy again.
