The unit requires some assembly which in my experience took less than 1/2 hour. Product Warranty is stated on Amazon Product Site with no details. Customer Support and Warranty Contact is by calling the supplied Telephone number in China.SOME ASSEMBLY NOTES —- The black bolts supplied in Evaluation Unit has some type of residual black oil type substance still on the entire bolt. After assembly touching plastic and metal parts of machine left black smudges. The black was easily removed from metal but a light black area remains as stain on plastic part.PEDAL ASSEMBLY….. Holding pedal and attempting to start threads to screw in component did not work for me as the bottom stayed static and top turned. Result – no progress in starting the screw thread. Using two hands, holding top of shaft firm, i was able to turn the threaded part into the hole. This is fine thread and care needed to assure proper alignment before placing wrench to tighten. On the evaluation unit when started the threads mated and shaft turned easily into the hole.USE – REMOTE CONTROL does not come with batteries. These were sourced and placed in control. In our application the supplied AC CORD is too short and an extension cord required for use. Using extension allowed placing the unit away from wall and having chair available.The unit when Turned ON shows status in display window. Unit is very responsive to Remote Control action with speed change almost instantly. The default START is slow speed. This under desk exerciser is not what I had expected. I’m giving it 4 stars because I ended up liking it and think the price is good if lacking some features, but know what you’re getting. I had sort of assumed this would have variable resistance. It does not. What it has is a variable speed motor – it turns by itself. Counterintuitive for exercise equipment (at least, to me it is). However, I found that the motorization gives the pedaling a rhythm, and by the end I do feel like I got a gentle workout. I also found that my chair – which has wheels – is pushed back when I try to put real power in, so this actually works much better for me than a machine on which I’d have to push hard.What drops it a star for me are a few small issues. The remote is terrible – you need to be pointing it at the machine to work. The display says “speed” (1-6) and always starts at 1, no memory. Distance is just a number – no indication of units! for the price it should have a better remote and a better display, but besides that the hardware is good.
