A Lifesaver for Senior Recovery – Niceday Under Desk Elliptical!
A Lifesaver for Senior Recovery – Niceday Under Desk Elliptical!âââââ (5/5 stars)As a senior recovering from hip replacement surgery, I cannot express enough how much the Niceday Under Desk Elliptical has transformed my rehabilitation journey. From the moment it arrived at my doorstep, I knew this little marvel was going to be a game-changer, and it absolutely is!First and foremost, I must commend Niceday for delivering the elliptical fully assembled. As someone who is still getting back on their feet, the last thing I needed was the hassle of putting together complex machinery. Thanks to their thoughtful design, I was able to start using the elliptical right away, and it made the initial stages of my recovery seamless and stress-free.The most impressive feature for me is the whisper-quiet operation of this seated elliptical. Living in a peaceful neighborhood, it was important to me not to disturb my neighbors during my exercise sessions. With the Niceday Under Desk Elliptical, I can pedal away without a worry, as it glides smoothly and silently. This also allowed me to use it while watching TV or even during phone calls without any disturbances. The 8 adjustable resistance levels provided by this elliptical have been a godsend in my recovery journey. At the beginning of my rehab, I could start with the lowest resistance and gradually increase it as my strength improved. It has been instrumental in helping me rebuild muscle tone in my legs while being gentle on my healing hip.Another fantastic feature that pleasantly surprised me is the built-in Bluetooth connectivity. By connecting the elliptical to my smartphone, I can track my progress and set personalized goals for each session. It also motivated me to stay consistent and monitor my improvements over time, which has been incredibly rewarding.Being a senior, I was initially concerned about stability and comfort, but the Niceday Under Desk Elliptical exceeded my expectations. It is well-built, sturdy, and the wide, padded foot pedals make it comfortable to use for extended periods. Plus, it fits perfectly under my desk, so when I’m not using it, it stays out of the way, saving space in my home.In conclusion, if you’re a senior recovering from hip replacement surgery or someone looking for a discreet, convenient, and effective way to exercise while seated, the Niceday Under Desk Elliptical is the perfect choice. It has been a crucial part of my recovery journey, helping me regain strength, mobility, and overall confidence in my physical abilities. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone in need of a top-notch seated exerciser. Thank you, Niceday, for creating such an exceptional product that has made a world of difference in my life!

Generally awesome, a couple caveats
I got this for 2 reasons, 1) long computer hours and 2) i broke my ankle last year so staying seated for hours is murder on my ankle muscles. This machine is nice and def keeps my ankle moving and is pretty much what I was looking for.PROS-Very very quiet. i was hoping to use this after the household has gone to bed, and I can. I’ve asked and no one can hear a thing. it’s rollerblade style wheels on an oiled metal track, so it really is quiet.-Lower to the ground – I wanted a bicycle style pedaller but I have long legs and didn’t want to smash my knees. It is low to the ground, and the pedals don’t go up as far as the bicycle style pedallers.-The display is neat, no idea if it’s accurate, but I like seeing how much time & how many calories I’ve burned. You can reset it anytime, I reset it in the mornings to track the day’s exercise.NEUTRAL-It took about an hour to assemble, the parts are heavy and loud. I was hoping it would be a little easier to unpack and start using, but it took a little while to put together. Not all day, but more than I expected.-HEAVY for me, I had to get my husband to carry it upstairs and put it under my desk. This aspect is neutral cause the unit doesn’t move AT ALL, which is really good, I didn’t want to have to be chasing it under my desk. So the weight works for and against it. I don’t imagine anyone is carrying it with them from room to room tho.CONS-I do bump my knees under the desk. I was hoping not to, and it’s not terrible, I can angle my legs or push back a bit to get them to not hit. But if I’m seated normally and pedalling normally, they do knock the underside of my desk. For reference I am 5’7″, and my desk is “LINNMON / KRILLE” from Ikea. The clearance from the floor to the bottom of the desk is 27.5″.-I was hoping there was a super easy, no resistance mode, and there isn’t one of those, the lowest setting takes some work. I may be weak, but the lowest setting still takes some strength to get started. I was hoping to just be able to push the pedals without much resistance to keep my ankle moving, but this is not the case. FYI in case you are getting this as a physical therapy device, it takes some real actual effort to use.-It’s a bit big, takes up a lot of space under the desk, but I also didn’t want a small flimsy one, so this is just a compromise that had to be made.Overall I really like it, altho i wish it had a lower setting, hurts my knees sometimes to get it moving so I don’t use it as much as I’d like so far. When it’s going tho, it’s fun to do and helps to keep my nervous energy down at my desk, and burn a couple calories while I’m working. Keeps your circulation up too, which can be a big issue for desk sitters, don’t want to get blood clots or anything. If you’re looking for something similar I’d get this one, it’s a good price and a solid machine.

Keeps my legs active
I was torn between getting a walking pad or something like this. Because my desk does not adjust height, a walking pad just isn’t realistic for me to use while working. This wasn’t too hard to assemble by myself. It is heavier than I expected, so this isn’t something I will pick up and move around daily. It is stationed under my desk. I have to have flat shoes on for my knees not to bonk the underside of my desk. It is fairly quiet. I find when the wheels get dust/junk on them, it becomes noisier, so I just clean the little track area off and it goes back to quiet. I do wish that the size of the rotation was longer. My knees only move up and down an inch or two at most. Am I getting a heart pounding workout from this? No. I’m also not standing up and using like an elliptical. That felt a little odd to me, and again, it’s not light to pull and push back under my desk. So, I do like that my legs are moving more than they were before I got it. And for the price, it’s not a bad piece of equipment. The resistance bands do actually have some strong resistance which is a plus to get some upper body movement in too. The resistance dial also does work decently. I have not used the monitor/screen since I don’t think those things are very accurate anyways.

Very easy to assemble. Operation is very quiet. I prefer this machine which is not powered because it provides real adjustable tension. Although I have been using it only for about 2 weeks, it looks like it is well-built. However, this machine is quite heavy. Lifting and moving it around provides good exercise. The other feature I like is – it can be used while standing up and simulate walking motion.

Connection to zwift is best feature. Zwift has workouts for low level fitness and they are interactive. They increase in difficulty as fitness improves. This is the only under the desk cycle I could find that connects to Zwift. After two months the senior using it has stopped shuffling and is standing up with more stability. Two 15 min Zwift sessions a day. And after the sessions they werenât tired out, didnât have to have a lie down and could continue with activities of daily living.Itâs 3 months old and the display wonât turn on but it still connects. There is a problem with one of the Zwift features (erg mode) which has just started and I cannot tell if it is Zwift or the device. It is very difficult to set up to work with zwift but vey much worth the effort. Zwift has a list of approved devices and the Niceday is not listed there.
