Small tents ROCK
I needed a tent to go camping. I had a 6 person tent from a major brand that had one of the tent pole supports break and it was a very large tent for only a single person. Enter this Night Cat.Unpacking was super easy. Unwrap all the tent poles and rubber bands. Lay the tent out. Assemble the main poles and form an X. Insert the poles into the fasteners at the bottom. Start securing the lower clasps onto the poles and once at the top, tie the ceiling to the axis of the cross poles. Assemble the rain fly poles and insert into their holders. Secure the rain fly using the clasps. Voila. Done. Easy breezy. This tent has some really cool features. IF you have a large battery bank on wheels you have a passthrough for a cord. The windows has some really good mesh for keeping the bugs out and letting fresh air in. There is a hook at the ceiling for a lamp or small led light source. Sleeping on the ground with a memory foam cot sized ground pad feels spacious and enough space around to lay down cell phones, wallet, keys and water you have in your pockets. Not much storage space so be mindful of what you want to keep inside. At 5’9″ this is perfect for me. Anyone taller is going to be cozy with the walls. To me it seems like it will fit a standard cot but not an extended cot.Cons: The rain fly does not come down the front entrance or back window far enough. If it is raining with a sideways wind I can see water ingress through the roof a possibility. At that point a tarp put over the tent and secured to the ground will help immensely and help buffet the wind. That is more weight and space so a luxury for car campers. For solo adventurers it may be a con that puts this out of competition. In conclusion there is a lot of value in this tent. It may only last a season or two but it works and it is lightweight enough.Update: Out in the wild this tent showed that it really is a 3 season tent. In Winter when temps drop you will need a 0F sleeping bag or quilt. As well as some insulating wool. It kept the wind off of me during 35 mph gusts. It has a lot of ventilation for a single person tent. I like how simple it is to setup and the included cord helped when securing the tent for the wind. I like the high tub line, it helps keep dirt out. If I had to choose again I would go for a double layer tent. Or drape a lightweight tarp over to help insulate.

Easy to use
As others have described, moisture does accumulate inside the unit even though in a desert. It clings to the sides and it dries but it is there none the less. It is easy to put and take down. It is extremely light weight so it is a summer tent for sure, none of this three season stuff.

Value and quality
For the price and quality it canĂ¢Â€Â™t be beat. Sets up in minutes. IĂ¢Â€Â™m 5Ă¢Â€Â™9 and thereĂ¢Â€Â™s plenty of room inside packs up small enough to attach my back pack. Will definitely buy again if needed.

The seams are sealed
This is a nice tent for 1 person and roomy enough to keep my backpack and personal gear inside with me. Temps dropped below freezing during the breezy night. I had the vestibule staked too far out, and it allowed the wind to circulate fresh air all night long. Next time, I will place that stake closer so that it is nearly touching the ground. There was a bit of condensation on the interior walls that dripped onto the tent floor. It withstood the winds very well

I have both
I started Moto Camping last year and bought the older version of the Night Cat tent first. Used it a dozen times and had no issues other than feeding the poles through the holes. The upgraded tent makes it so much faster to setup especially when the suns going down

I really like the material of the tent..

We had light/medium rain during the camping trip, and I woke up with some articles wet, the water was slightly “weeping” through the fabric, so a tarp above the tent seems like the best solution for this model.

This compact tent should please people looking for one that is easy to setup, very compact and lightweight. The whole tent fits in a rather small bag that you just can put in the back of the trunk. It is waterproof, while also giving the possibility of removing the top to only leave the mesh skylight if the temperature allows it.It also was relatively easy to setup even for the first time. In fact, I’m thinking it will subsequently take less than five minutes as there are no complex steps along the way. You just need to slide and attach the poles at the right place and anchor it into the ground. Now, it’s spacious enough to fit two single mattresses or a double, but that’s about it. You have minimal space on the sides or at the top of the mattresses to have a few things like a phone or some clothes, but again, this is a compact tent. There also are two pockets though, which is nice, and a slot if you want to get an electric cord inside. For a nice compact summer tent or backpacking, I’m not sure you could ask for better, especially value-wise. It’s probably not gonna last a lifetime, but for the occasional camper, it certainly is doing a great job.

A lot smaller and lighter when packed than I expected. ItĂ¢Â€Â™s easier to carry than at least one of our family’s sleeping bags. The instructions are sparse and dont seem to be 100% a match which for a novice camper like myself threw me off at first but once I figured out how to attach the poles it went together quickly and easily. The raincover was probably the hardest part to get on.Inside itĂ¢Â€Â™s spacious enough. I got the 2 person size and found that there is plenty of room for 2 to 3 people.ItĂ¢Â€Â™s definitely not a winter tent and seeing how we have a few inches of snow outside I haven’t been able to test it fully yet by spending a night outside in it but so far IĂ¢Â€Â™m impressed.
