Money well spent
The panel was simple to install on my feeder. I took the alligator clips off to feed the wire through the controll box. If I was doing it again I would just cut the wires an splice them back together it would be easier than reinstalling the clips. But the panel works great I’ve had it out over a month now in this cold winter an the battery is full .Sure beats exchanging battery’s every few weeks. I should have bought 1 years ago . I’m very happy with this panel .Keep the snow off it an you shouldn’t have any problems. I love it

Its a solar panel for the great outdoors
This was a bundle suggestion for a deer (game) feeder replacement motor (GSM Outdoors 30591). Note that it is the incorrect part -this is a generic solar panel that has a pair of ‘gator clips’ and will not connect to the factory connectors on the motor! The voltage is correct and output is sufficient (per testing) so I decided to just make it work. TO that end, I ordered a male/female connector, cut the factory one on the motor kit and cut the wires on the panel, soldered and sealed the new connectors into place and it now trickle-charges the 6V battery for my game feeder. I gave it 5 stars because it is well built and seems tough enough to survive in the wild, it came with plenty of hardware to secure it to the feeder and more than ample amount of wire to place it wherever you want to (I zip-tied the extra). The fault regarding the connectors is that of Amazon for the suggestion, and mine for not doing my research. Hardware-wise, I’m quite pleased, and it was working fine when I went back at the end of summer to check on the feeder.IF I think about it, I’ll supply a photo of the installation next time I get into the woods.

Deer feeder solar panel
This solar panel seems well made and I was able to easily install. Can’t say how well it works. It was installed a week ago and time will tell. Just have to wait and see if I need another battery in a few months.

no strain relief
there are two what appears to be strain reliefs on the cord but no way to put on on the inside of the housing since the alligator clamps don’t fit through them. i just tied a knot in the cord on the inside and made sure there was a drip loop in the power cord. Plenty of wire if you want to install it on a tree but i just screwed it to the feed drum.

Works great.
Replaced my mighty mule solar panel with a stronger panel at a fraction of the cost of mighty mule one. I have had this for at least a year and still working great.

Good voltage
These are great to use with your game cameras with a lifepo4 battery. Don’t get fooled into buying one of those cheaper panels to use. This panel puts out enough voltage to run your camera all year. I bought a bunch of brands to try. This one and the 3.5 volt by sumo c are the only ones I will use. Still no need for a controller because these will not overcharge your battery.

Metal Wire Protection not long enough
The metal wire protector really isn’t long enough. The alligator clips had to be cut off so I could use the metal bushings. Clips would not go through them. Wanted to mount this on top of feeder but the metal protector is only about 18 inches.
