Small yet powerful Solar Panel with MPPT Built In I have small lithium battery that powers outdoor lighting. I need a lightweight solar panel to charge it daily and this one does exactly that perfectly. The package comes with a couple of different connectors, and four suction pads so you could easily install this into a variety of surfaces. It has MPPT controller built in so all you need to do is to just wire this to the battery and that’s it. So far, it’s been working like a charm for more than a week! Highly recommended this to ppl who don’t need a large solar panel for a small project.
POWOXI Upgraded MPPT 15W Solar Car Battery Charger & Maintainer Letâs talk about the POWOXI Solar Car Battery Chargerâa gadget so smart it makes my car battery feel like it’s attending an elite power school. Picture this: Iâm cruising through life, and my car battery decides it needs a vacation. Enter POWOXI, the ultimate battery babysitter, ensuring my 12V battery stays charged and ready to roll, even on the dreariest of days. This little marvel is equipped with a built-in MPPT charging controller, which, for those of us not fluent in tech jargon, means it’s like having a solar-powered brainiac optimally managing my batteryâs health. Itâs waterproof too, so come rain or shine, this charger is out there, doing its thing without a fuss. Setting it up was simpler than convincing a cat to chase a laser pointer. Just plug it in, position it, and let it soak up the sun. The 15W power output is perfect for a steady trickle charge, keeping the battery topped up without overloading it. Plus, itâs portable, making it as easy to carry around as your favorite coffee thermos. In conclusion, if you want a reliable, efficient, and smart solution to keep your car battery happy, the POWOXI is your new best friend. Itâs like giving your battery a personal trainer who never sleeps. Highly recommend for anyone who prefers their car batteries charged and their stress levels low.
Marginal,⦠at best. Advertised at 15w; I havenât measured anything higher than 8w in full sun exposure. Not impressed. Most of the âsolar clutterâ sold today is rated far higher than actual output. Itâs a too common, and customary, business practice, that consumers have now considered normal, and acceptable. Would anyone buy a 12 oz coffee in a 8 oz cup? The solar industry as figured out that they can print any promise on the package, without repercussion; and apparently everybody is ok with thatâ¦.
Solar-Powered Lifesaver with a Few Flimsy Flaws I recently tried out the POWOXI Upgraded MPPT 15W Solar Car Battery Charger & Maintainer, and here’s my take: This solar panel does what it promises â it keeps my car battery charged efficiently. The built-in MPPT charging controller is a nice touch, ensuring optimal charging. The instruction booklet is very good though more than comes with most, however I am not sure how needed it is. However, the suction cup design didn’t quite win me over. I found it a bit flimsy and would much rather secure it with screws for better stability. The plastic housing also seems like it could become brittle over time, which is a concern. There are more robust options out there, like those epoxy-covered solar panels, which might be a better pick if durability is a priority for you. Overall, the POWOXI charger works as advertised and gets the job done. I’m giving it four stars for its functionality, but with some reservations about its long-term durability. ððð
doesnt seem to work my deep cycle 12volt battery was reading 12.3 volts. Now its been hooked up to this Powoxi unit for 1.5 days in direct sun and the battery still reads 12.3. I will hook the battery up tomorrow to a regular electric battery charger and see where that ends up. no response from powoxi by phone or email
A little pricey – suction cups have to be clean and the glass too to hold well I ordered this to just leave on some of the vehicles that I don’t use that often in my yard to keep the battery charged without having to run a power wire and charger to them. This does do a good job of providing charge to the battery when the sun it out. There is more than enough wire from the panel to the connectors but I do wish the different connectors had just a bit more wire. I plan on using the permanent installation one on my side by side and just swapping the panel around. I put this on a pretty weak/dead battery hoping it would charge it and it did at first but then it quit when I messed with the car key. It works fine on good batteries but everything is smart charge now days. The suction cup feature is a neat idea but you do have to clean the suction cups and the window or they will not stick. I am thinking about putting some magnets on it to just hold onto the metal of the car easier and not have to mess with the window. It has indicators to show when it is getting sun, charging, and complete. I have yet to see the fully charged light yet and it has been charging for 4 days when the sun is out. Overall, this is so much better than having power wires and chargers in your yard and I like it has different connectors for charging (to include a cigarette lighter one). I thought it was a little pricey but the solar panel is not a cheap one so it might be on point.
Good to maintain your golf cart 12v battery I put this on top of our gasoline golf cart to maintain the 12 volt battery. It suction cups to the roof and the wires run down the roof truss, you could probably leave it on while you are driving or parked but I do disconnect it when in use. I can tell it makes a difference but I can’t really give you metrics on that. I can see a bump in the volt meter as soon as I connect it up. These would be great for maintaining batteries on wave runners, jets skis, and riding lawn mowers or tractors. It seems to be pretty salt resistance so far which is great at the beach area.
