Best purchase we made while building our home!
This camera is so easy to use and works perfectly! We were building our home and didnât have internet service to it but needed a security camera to watch the build and this was by far the camera for the job! We actually finished building and have professional security cameras but kept this one up outside bc it is so easy and convenient and will alert you when there is movement etc. It is super user friendly and super easy to reload when out of space! Highly recommend!

Affordable, and does the job!
 This camera works as I needed, and wouldâve hoped. I donât have internet/WiFi, and no electricity to my yard, so this solar charging, battery powered, cellular service based camera is the wishlist answer to my backyard (or anywhere) security monitoring.
I use mine on the fluent setting, which is lower definition, but that also means it uses less data, and the stream is, well, more fluent. But, the image/video quality is actually very good, for the purposes of security, at this setting. This is true for both day and night vision footage.
There have only been a few times, over practically countless times, that I have checked in on my live stream, for it to have failed to connect. At those times, it did connect after a couple of tries. No service in existence doesnât occasionally drop, so Iâm not going to cite this as a flaw of the camera.
I really like, and use, the different features, as well. When there is motion, it will record (if you have chosen this in your settings), but you can also record as youâre viewing, if you wish. In the settings, you can choose for it to automatically sound itâs alarm when itâs triggered by motion, or you can manually sound the alarm at will. It has two-way audio, also, which aids in security.
If you need this camera, it will be the biggest expense of your security system, as the SIM card from T-Mobile, and the basic level monthly cellular service are extremely affordable! You will need a microSD card, but you can also upload to the Cloud. This camera system was also a very good deal, as it included the solar panel for the price of many cameras only ~ or even more expensive cameras that also did not include this charger. It has kept my camera battery at full capacity, only going down a few percentages at night.
I really like the camo pattern camera cover that came with this product package, as well. The camera itself is weather resistant, but this cover will hopefully help. Itâs very easy to slip over the camera, but itâs not flimsy.
Serendipitously, as I was in the middle of writing this review, and had uploaded a nighttime video capture, my motion alert chimed! Long story short, Iâve changed the video upload for this review to the one I just captured…and which exemplifies the very reason I purchased this camera: An unwelcome visitor who would like to harm my birds!!

Nice features but has major problems

Update. Having constant problems with this camera. Changing rating to a 1. Over the past 6 months I have been fighting to keep this thing working almost weekly. Requires resetting the unit every time. Sometimes working, sometimes not. Solar panel was keeping a 90% to 100% charge but recently camera stopped working completely. Tried charging with USB but orange and red lights flash alternately. Looks like the battery is toast after about 7 months. I won’t be ordering any more of this brand.

Generally this is a very nice security camera with great features. The video quality is excellent and the ability to remotely move the lens position is awesome. However I am having some problems that make this camera somewhat annoying.
First the ability to control this camera through the app is spotty. I am showing a 4 bar signal strength but am getting connection errors most of the time. Live watching is impossible. Adjustment of the camera angle is very difficult. Maybe if you are in an area with a 5 bar signal it might work better.
Second I hate the PIR motion sensing. It supposed to be better than the older trail cam sensing technology about not triggering on trees moving, bugs, etc. The range supposed to be 10 meters but it has trouble triggering even at 5 meters. It says in the instructions that it triggers on people and cars. It triggers most of the time on people but rarely triggers on cars at any distance. I have the sensitivity level up all the way now at 100% and do get false triggering now, but it still does not trigger on the cars very often. I wish it used the older technology. At least I would be able to get the cars coming by.
This device has good potential if they can fix the PIR motion detection

I was using this camera for a production well that produces for my business and it is located where it is very secluded and no electricity is present at all. in all it was very good for everything picture , sound , movement side to side and speaker microphone , only issue is that the battery unfortunately doesn’t last long with no sun out during cold winter months in Southern Ontario, but that is definitely expected considering how cold and dark it can get at times, for the solar panel has no chance to charge up battery. I also did experience a problem with my camera along the way and it did eventually quit working, couldn’t recognize the sim card , which was frustrating to say the least. But here is where the 5 stars , i give the reolink support team and doing a great job in walking me through troubleshooting and they eventually sent me a new one anyway under warranty to replace defective one and were back up and running and working well again. So even if you experience issues along the way Reolink support will have you looked after .

I have been using this camera for almost 1 year now on my oyster farm on the west coast of Vancouver Island. It works great with Bell’s sim card. I’m impressed how it handles the storms, horizontal rain and salt in the air .
Day and night, produces a clear picture and sound . It’s a great way to keep an eye on my oyster farm when I’m not there.

I own 5 Reolink camera. Two WiFi version and three LTE version (US/CAN), one GO and two GO PT. Those three LTE cameras are working perfectly using the Telus data sim card.
This GO PT Plus unit will not connect using a brand new Telus data sim card. Then tried using the other three Telus sim cards that we know is working and they don’t work in this unit. We then installed the brand new sim card into the three other LTE cameras and they connected to the network and able to connect to the Reolink app. This shows this GO PT Plus unit is defective and will not work with any sim card and I’m not about waist my time and try another cell carrier.
I emailed Reolink Customer Service and they can’t connect to this unit after giving them the UID number. So they aren’t able to resolve this issue.
Very disappointed because we don’t really want to go with another name brand and have to install a different app to view their camera. Or we just wait it out and hopefully later down the road we’ll order another Reolink and hopefully it’ll work.
